Doesn't the playoff committee make the bowl selections?

It's based on their rankings. SEC Champion goes to Sugar, unless they're in playoff. In that case, 2nd highest SEC team in the rankings goes to Sugar.

Several.

You're an idiot.

You say UF will be 10-3 with no impressive wins, but then go to say winner of the Egg Bowl goes to Sugar Bowl. Yet UF beat one of the teams in that game.

So, as a refresher, you're an idiot.

It was merely mocking how dumb your post of "you already had your chance" was as you failed to recognize circumstances that could change the outcome of a rematch.

And if you still had your qb then you would be fine. Why are y'all so pissed off about it? The people in charge of these bowls are not idiots. They know what's going on. They are paid to make money. They will pick the eligible team that is more profitable. You might have an outside shot against Miss State but I doubt it. You have 0 chance of beating out Ole Miss. UF must absolutely beat FSU to make it to the Sugar bowl. No chance in the world without that win.

Wouldn't it go to the loser of the SEC champ game?

It will.

Arkansas and Ole Miss fans are in here trolling, as per usual

It's hard to annihilate a team scoring 10 points

Ole Miss played their worst game of the season that night and your QB was roided-out. Ole Miss would absolutely destroy Florida.

2006. Look it up. The SEC CG loser has absolutely 0 effect on the Sugar Bowl. They are free to pick any eligible SEC team. UF fans thinks it's trolling because we have eyes. All anyone has ever said is they are not the same team without their qb. If they don't beat FSU they have 0 chance of making it. It's as simple as that.

No, there are a few examples of this not being true.

And none since 1970. Congrats on your Super Bowl victory yesterday.

Under the new contracts the highest ranked SEC team (not in the playoffs) according to the committee rankings will play in the Sugar Bowl. If the SEC Champ wins and isn't invited to the playoff then they get the Sugar Bowl bid.

That's it.

It comes down to whoever the top CFP ranked SEC team is in that final listing. It will be Florida or the Ole Miss/State winner depending on how the final games effect the rankings.

Somebody explain to me why a 9-3 MSU team that lost to 9-3 A&M (and it wasn't close) should go to the Sugar Bowl ahead of A&M?

Not necessarily. If Florida gets smashed by FSU and Bama the Egg winner will be higher ranked and go. Otherwise, UF goes.

They are under the impression that nothing has changed since Grier. They will somehow stay where they are after dropping 2 in a row and going to OT againot FAU. They dropped after a win for christ sake. They must beat FSU to make the Sugar Bowl. There is no way around it.

Yeah, and this isn't the old system. The playoff rankings determine the representative. I say UF will probably be around 9-10, OM around 15-17, and MSU 20-23. If UF loses both games I think the Egg winner is most definetly ranked above UF.

The same reason a 9-3 OM team that got smashed by UF the same night would. Because, it's how you are ranked now and not in early October before Bama makes your arse quit every year. That game was close. State played their worst game of the year, yes even worse than Bama, and turned it over in the Redzone twice. If we played again I have the utmost confidence State would win by 10-14. Everyone in the country knows MSU is better than A&M. Because a team wins on a given night, see OM-Bama, doesn't mean they are the better team.

The same thing happened to Arkansas in 2006. I wish LSU would have went to the SEC CG and lost so that Arkansas could have played in the Sugar Bowl instead. We were punished for playing an extra game and losing to the National Champion. Voters watching UF will not give them a benefit if they lose 2 games in a row. Most still remember they were lucky to beat Vandy and UT. If not for an illegal player they wouldn't have been in this position to begin with. They could end up beating FSU and this all won't matter but at this point I don't see that offense beating anyone.

Re-think your post and what I said.

He says UF has no impressive wins. With or without Grier - UF beat Ole Piss. But if Ole Piss wins, all of a sudden they deserve the Sugar Bowl. Makes no sense.

Hence, he's an idiot.
