This is just fan fiction. The only parking on the 400 block of Grace is perpendicular to the road.

If you read the attorney's statement he did not say Brandon "didn't know"
He said he "never saw" or "never handled" the gun. He goes on with the weak "it is our understanding" that the gun was under some clothes.
It may seem subtle but that is a BIG difference.
When Miles texted him to bring the gun no one is asserting he said or texted "wait, what gun?"
