Could you cite legitimate sources that prove how many coaches UT had offered the position before Dooley?

I really think this is a great hire. You hired the anti-Kiffin.

No, but if UT's first choice was a .500 WAC coach that would be more embarrassing.

On the radio here in Nashville they said earlier that Dooley was the first coach they offered.

Vince Dooley told Finebaum at the Bryant Award last night. That Tennessee went a different direction. So probably not the first choice.

However its still a good choice.

According to Hamilton himself, Dooley was one of the first " 3 or 4" coaches on his list.

Whatever that means, he was impressive in his first PC. So was Kiffin, but i'd rather have a Saban disciple than a Carroll disciple in the SEC.

This is true. I would prefer a Saban defense disciple versus Special Teams/ TE coach

he pretty much confirmed to the media he wasn't going ot UGA in the PC. That was asked like 3 times in the PC after the Kiffin fiasco.

UT is a better program tonight than it was last week. I think you will soon realize that "Boy" and his 2 clowns going west was the best thing for all of you.

+1
I personally think this is a good hire by UT, well, at least better than some of the other choices.

Im one Tiger Fan that thinks Dooley is a great hire. the son of gun gave us everything we wanted and then some this past year so with your talent i would say an excellent hire. As a matter of fact , he would have been im my top three had Miles took a hike. Congrats.

Better hope for your sake he's not living off the good family name like the Bowden boys.

You guys must be sick that Kiffy wasn't able to quit sooner, you may have had a shot at Tubberville.

LSU fans want your program to improve & give the Bammers trouble.
