So who actually took time to research this? I can't believe someone was upset enough to go through the alma maters of each SEC committee member. Talk about serious life issues.

SEC Digital Network: Who was involved in putting together the 2013 SEC conference football schedule and what additional groups had input? We use a scheduling group outside the office from a computer standpoint of trying to generate some things for us. At the end of the day, the cooperation of each athletic director in trying to make this work is vitally important.”

SEC Digital Network: You mentioned the computer group that assists you with scheduling; how does that process work? Mark Womack: “They run different versions of what we give them as far as we’d like to keep certain games on certain dates and other parameters. They will produce the rotation of schedules and how that would work over a 12-year period. They can also assist us in trying to tell us whether, mathematically, we can do something or not. They will tell us that these games would fit in or there’s no way to schedule what we want to schedule.”

Don't worry. The Alabama administration has already told its lacky Mark that no teams are to have bye weeks before and after Bama because it is inequitable and hurts competitive balance.

The rule will be in place for when bridge 3 is announced. Just need to see who is going to be 7 in the SECe next year before Bridge 3 can come out.

look at you trying to spin this.

OOC means nothing. Bye's can be argued either way. Sometimes teams play well off of bye weeks sometimes they come out rusty. Its all about the East matchups.

Let's compare what Alabama's schedule would have been and what it was. We were supposed to play UT, Vandy, and UGA as our East opponents. Instead, we played aTm, UT, and Mizzou.

Our new schedule wasn't that much easier.

Before expansion, what East teams were scheduled to rotate onto Bama and LSU's schedules for the '13 season?

I think what everyone is upset about is that while you dropped UGA for Mizzou, we dropped UK for A&M. LSU was suppose to play At Lexington this year, and Bama at Athens. Expansion ended that.

Next year since the SEC office still can't decide on 8 or 9 games it's another bridged schedule.

Bama gets @UK and UT
LSU gets UF and @UGA
LSU has not been to Lexington since 07, but beat UGA in Athens in 09
Bama beat UK In Lexington in 09, but hasn't been to Athens since 08.

Your losses. I'm going to enjoy my trip to Athens

Wow...just wow. Working together huh? Sure, I work together with people all the time. You know what the consensus usually is? It is what the lead guy or head man says. We all leave the room in "consensus" though.

I'd rather play big games, but who's to say some of these just weren't pulled out of a hat and bama got the easier game?
