That's meat with the sauce already applied. Rule number one for me is...no sauce on the meat before ordering. Let me decide how much and what are you trying to hid...

Amen. I call that other style "crock-pot BBQ".

You just had to bring up barbecue. Quick, let's find a less controversial topic for a board full of Southerners and Texans (and Missourians, for some ungodly reason). Suggestions for topics less likely to start a war:

Abortion
Donald Trump
Cam Newton
Racism
Apple vs Windows
Homosexuality
Religion
Nick Sab...ah, nevermind. That one's worse.

This is an approximate map, although I don't agree with 'Heavy Tomato' extending as far south as shown:

Outside of South Carolina, not so much. When people think vinegar-base, they generally think N.C.

Dude, that "puke over rice" is hash and it's one of the most delicious things you will ever give your taste buds the privilege to savor. Don't ask what's in it or how it's prepared, just know that it is, in fact, thr best food that humans have ever created.

That doesn't even look appetizing. And here I thought the only way to ruin ribs was to pull your pants down and marinate them in shite, but I'll be damned South Carolina has found another way.

He's right though. Vinegar based BBQ sauce is universally associated with North Carolina.

But to be fair, vinegar and mustard based are both shite.

Vinegar based and it is better on pork than anything in Texas.
Texas is a beef state and I don't like any sauce on my brisket.

but wait. Missouri is a SWJ state and its arguably the best state for bbq? im confused

The only people who think Missouri is "arguably" in the discussion for best BBQ are those who think Heinz or KC masterpiece "sauce" (ketchup) constitutes an acceptable culinary experience. In other words, just morons.

Mustard based sux.

Oh, and pulled pork, Brisket, ribs, it's all Bbq. One last thing, I like Sweet Baby Ray's Bbq sauce if I'm gonna do a shortcut at home. Hell, I'll even Bbq some damn Polska Kielbasa sausage if I feel like it. What you gonna do now?
