Those two teams just cant beat a Hootie at OM.

Would HDN have been in trouble if no Masoli and they stunk or is he now in more peril with Masoli and the Jax St loss?

I've wondered the same thing. I think the NCAA reversing their ruling on Masoli may have been a Pyrrhic victory of sorts. Sure, Nutt was excited to get him back, but it seems adding a player with that kind of hype merely adds pressure to Nutt. If they deny Masoli, and OM loses, well Nutt could say, "They took my starting qb 4 days before our first game." But as it turned out, he had his guy and he still lost. To be fair, Masoli wasn't the problem. He got them 2 TD's in the OT periods, and he moved the ball some during regulation. What doomed OM ultimately was a defense - missing a couple of key players - that was playing not to lose in the second half. For this reason, I am not buying the notion that OM will not do well the remainder of the season. Do not be surprised to see OM win 5 or 6 and even a couple of SEC games.

Remember...in 2006 we lost by 8 or 9 TD's to USC in our opener. And then we reeled off 10 consecutive wins after that. Had the West won even before teeing it up against LSU the day after Thanksgiving. As severely as Nutt can frick up a rent-a-win, he can just as severely rally the troops. Nothing that happens from here forward will surprise me.

Umm. Ole Miss fans would not buy that crap. If you can't beat a 1-AA team with a QB as good as Stanley, then you've got something wrong.

I think Ole Miss still wins at least 2 or 3 SEC games this season.

At least.

If we don't go to a bowl, I'll be furious. I still expect 6 wins. I guess that means we've gotta win three SEC games.

If Ole Miss can't win 3 of their 4 SEC home games I will be surprised.

Vandy
Kentucky
Auburn
MSU

And I think they will be a toss-up at Tennessee and Arkansas. (sorry Hogs, but I am not buying the hype)
