I think Mizzou has shaken up the East dramatically. There should be some great races in coming years. Mizzou will be in the mix every year, I think. Especially while Pinkel is there.
If Stoops can get UK at least back to the level Rich Brooks had the Cats, football should be much more fun in Lexington, too.

If your question is will there come a year where we don't win the east, the answer is obviously yes. If your question is will Mizzou never win the east again the answer is obviously no.

The answer is no. It's only a matter of time before they're arkansas. Occasionally the best in the division but for the most part a middle of the road division team. Is what it is. The recruiting base just isnt there to sustain success and the tradition isn't there to recruit nationwide.

Missouri = South Carolina. Very similar programs.
I never said this is Tennessee's year.

I really wasn't trying to down grade Missouri. Just stating the fact that they came into the SEC at the perfect time and managed to win the SECE 2 years in a row. That will be a tough feat to duplicate.
Maybe not intentionally, but you kind of are. In 2013, two teams from the east finished in the top 5 in the nation and a third finished in the top 25. In 2014, two teams finished in the top 15 or so. Not as strong, but not horrible either. To say otherwise doesn't give UGA credit for what they accomplished.
What some fail to recognize, to this day, is that just because the Big 6 members are down, doesn't mean the entire east is down.

Mizzou has risen to "power" at a strange time in the SEC East. I mean, has there ever been another SECE Champ that got trucked at home 34-0 by a fellow SECE team like Mizzou did against Georgia last season? And in the first game without Gurley?
Sorry Mizzou, but you're the blind pig that stumbled onto an acorn. Congrats, but you didn't do anything with it (historic blowouts in both SECCGs) and the SECE is starting to rise. Georgia already owns you and Tennessee is starting to come on. Florida should be there as well in a year or two.
Missouri has no concept of what it's like in a dominant SECE when all three traditional powers are hitting on all cylinders.
They better pray to their heathen yankee god that they never do.

We're fine with Pinkel here. We can win with 20-30 recruiting classes. You make legitimate points though. The hope is we'll have our facilities in order and lengthen our winning tradition by the time it's time to replace him.
We don't need to recruit nationally. We'll need to "for the most part" lock down Missouri, be a legitimate player for the elite guys in the Midwest and fill the rest in with GA/FL kids.
Are we going to win every year? Of course not. Will we be a player as long as Pinkel is here? Yes. Can we continue after he's gone? Hopefully, that will be the real test

That's only happened a few times since the East was formed. I think 3 times.
No, some people cant wrap their heads around programs like Mizzou and South Carolina representing the power in the East.

V&S, I've given you credit before. You're one of the the posters that's around year round. There's some others too. It seems to me there are more posters in the offseason than say the 2nd half of the season. That's not a bad thing. Just an observation. Hell, I wish we had more Mizzou posters around in the offseason.

So tired of this bullshite, and that's what it is. Stop sucking maybe? Stop losing games you shouldn't? 13 we finished in the top 5, 14 we weren't as good but still finished in the top 15. We can't help what the rest of you are doing.

Terrified. I actually hope the division comes back a bit. We'll still be here and maybe we won't have to listen to all the teams finishing below us talking about how lucky we are...
