Wait a minute. He's 19 years old?! When I was 19, I was junior in college. I bet he wouldn't even academically qualify if he gets to keep the scholarship.

It does. This was part of an off topic offshoot.
The first charge is apparently with a minor. The second charge is with someone different and it was alluded to that it will involve a forcible component as well.

I'm sure it is. If he were enrolled, the standard would be if he was charged with a felony, he would be dismissed from the team. I can't imagine it's any different here. I just think they can't discuss recruits.
