Oh I missed that, they really did kill him.

You didn't see the last play of the game? I was about to have a heart attack. I gotta hand it to the kid though. He has heart and he is very talented. He will be a force to be reckoned with for the next few years. aTm has one helluva QB.

29/56, 276yds, 0td, 3int[1].
17 runs for 27 yards.

A red shirt freshman against the #3 ranked defense in football did better than any other QB against them so far this year.

He (and the team) did about as well as I hoped. Taylor Bertollet still has some growing to do. Obviously our defense could use plenty of help and our running backs are still pretty much MIA in this offense.

How's that for a moral victory sunshine pumping post?

[1] That ball that popped up off the receiver straight into the air is not on the QB even though it goes against his stats.

Almost 300 yards passing. He by himself had more yards than any team had vs LSU this year. Doing just fine.

I'd left to go get a pizza and some booze. Y'all had it in check 24-12 when I left.

LSU used the same gameplan we did (rush 3, make him throw) and it worked. They just had the athletes to seal the deal and we didn't.

Bama might actually kill him... TBD.

JFF had a few costly throwing errors for sure and pretty much played like a freshman against the Tigers D. Offensive production was not a problem, TO's and missed throws were.

You guys do realize that isn't him in that GIF right?

I'm on my phone right now, but I'm sure that the play is on YouTube. If someone could find it and link it, you should see it. I gotta give aTm props. They went for it all with that play. Like I said, I was about to have a heart attack. At the end of the play when that hit happened, I screamed BOOM so loud and I started jumping around screaming so much it scared my dog. He hid behind the chair and wouldn't come out.

Yeah, same thing was said last week. Its fun to talk about such things, but that cat [tm montgomery] is elusive.

The kid is a freshman, for crying out loud. Heck, a freshman QB almost led a new SEC team to a victory over mighty LSU. If I were a Bama fan, or LSU fan, I would be worried for the next couple of years. This guy is going to be a great one.

No.

Even some our own defensive guys gave the kid props. He's a helluva athlete any way you look at it.

I'm willing to give the kid a break for what happened in the 2nd half.... He was going against one of the best defenses in the country, and performed pretty well (all things considered) for a redshirt frosh that no one had heard of before this fall.

He's a player.
