The kid is a freshman, for crying out loud. Heck, a freshman QB almost led a new SEC team to a victory over mighty LSU. If I were a Bama fan, or LSU fan, I would be worried for the next couple of years. This guy is going to be a great one.

meh, once LSU made adjustments at the end of the first, beginning of the 2nd, the LSU D completely shut them down until LSU went into prevent at the end.

We'll see if LSU didn't kill the entire team. Last time we played A&M they had their only good season in ages. That year they actually won significant games at home!!! Something harder to spot than Bigfoot on the A&M campus.
LSU crushed them in the Cotton Bowl and the
following season went from pre season high ranking to coach fired.

Even with the poor stats, the guy looked pretty amazing scrambling for his life. A&M has a keeper for the next few years.

That's funny. Seeing how the kid posted 300+ yards by himself, or more than Jeff Driskel and Connor Shaw combined. Yeah.......bad day for the freshman.

He had to feel like he was in a car wreck the next day.
Told little man to grab his frickin ankles.

Do you not understand the way things work on the rant? It is mandatory you pick on the weaklings.

What's funny? I pretty much agreed with what you just said in my post.

Running around in circles like a chicken with its head cut off, although impressive, isn't exactly productive.

Aggie fans may be more delusional than arky fans. I didn't think it was possible.

Aww ... come on ... picking on Auburn and Arkansas right now is like picking on a kid with down syndrome ... probably worse because at least kids with down syndrome can still get a good education.

JFF doesn't have Tebows or Cams size. He'll figure it out...or not make his junior year.

He played like a Freshman and made some Freshman mistakes. That said, he certainly got high praise from the LSU D Lineman that chased him all day. He's just learning how to understand the system better and work within it instead of trying to do it all himself. Plays he could get away with against other teams don't work with the speed of LSU. He was still good enough to put LSU on the ropes but screw the moral victories, he had 2 bad int's and a 3rd that bounced off a receiver's chest. Can't do that against the big boys.
The thing is most of those who claimed he was going to win the Heisman or whatever were not Aggies. Most of the Aggies who said similar things were doing it tongue in cheek for fun.
He will learn and he will get better though. He's not dead, he's just human. I would bet that he will have at least one more 500+ yard Total Offense game this season still though.

29/56; 276 yards; 51.8%; 3 INT
17 rushes for 27 yards
Driskel threw for 61 yards in LSU's only loss
Shaw threw for 177 yards and 2 picks (2 tds as well)
Frazier threw for 97 yards and 2 picks
Was it disappointing that he had 3 interceptions? Absolutely, but I'd really only give him 2 of those - the one off of Evan's shoulder was hardly his fault. I thought LSU had a great secondary, but I can't help but be impressed by how Johnny played. First year OC, HC, QB - I mean, how can we be upset that he almost led us to victory against two of the best teams in the country? Without getting into the moral victory aspect of things (probably too late) the hype would be growing if our Kicker converts on the 7 points he left on the board. Kid is going to be something special, just wait.
