Also Florida had a similar season last year only their D was their strength.
2012 Florida's regular season is more impressive than 2013 Auburn IMO. They beat 10-2 Texas A&M, 10-2 LSU, 10-2 South Carolina, and 10-2 Florida State. They competed hard with the SEC East Champion and kept a game where they had 6 turnovers close. Defeating Florida State is better than all of Auburn's OOC wins this season.

Look I'm not saying I think Gus was a bad hire or that he hasn't done some nice things. I'm just saying he's being over hyped a bit right now and we really don't know if he's gonna be able to keep Auburn in the top 5-10 every year.

Time will tell. He has a history of being successful. It is still funny to see the 180 in peoples arguments now is all.

Let's also not ignore that very few of the players that made an impact on offense this season had significant playing time when Gus was running the offense in 2011.
Discount his accomplishments if you want to, but there isn't another coach that I can think of that could have accomplished what Gus did with this AU team.

Gus will land tougher schedules in the next couple of years. Auburn fans ought to hope the defense is in shape then. 2013 Auburn's schedule featured only 1/12 scheduled teams that finished the season with fewer than 3 losses. 2013 Auburn did not beat any AQ conference champions. 2012 Florida had a far more impressive resume. We'll soon see how Auburn will handle a schedule loaded with Top 15 opponents.
This year's team has a shot at beating 3 straight Top 10 opponents. That's pretty neat. However, they were all at the end when Auburn was playing their best football. What'll happen when they're spread out and you get a few early?

This is an odd statement. Is it supposed to be fairly common for a team to beat an AQ conference champion in any given year?

Can't believe bama fans are now making schedule excuses regarding their rival's success.

Thinking the same thing.

Nope. He leaves a lot to be desired.

Clearly not. Winning the sec is easy.

While Gus did step right back in a job where the kids on campus were recruited to run his offense, he still pulled off one hell of a coaching job.

Just to give everyone a chance - Next year Gus is going to convert one of his backup DE's to play QB.

3-9 just doesn't describe how bad Auburn was last year. In the conference games, the average margin of loss was 24 pts. Against A&M, UA, and GA, average score was 50-7.

Once upon a time in 2006 I saw OC Gus Malzahn come into #2 Auburn and run roughshod over DC Will Muschamp. He's been doing the same thing for years.

That Reggie Fish squat down play ruined my life.

2012
versus 2013...
Last year I didn't even watch the Iron Bowl.
This year I'm booking flights for the Rose Bowl.

We play UGA and Bama the same time every year...your argument is retarded.
