There's no way to enforce a conference championship rule when the conferences aren't uniform and equal, and people have anticipated this scenario for years because of that. Alabama had just as much claim to it as LSU did, and it was never LSU's to be taken away by a media conspiracy and fine print. Y'all need to quit whining.

have only CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS and put the 1st round games on campus.

So you'd rather have a 9-3 Big East team that played a shite schedule over an 11-1 SEC runner up?

hopefully it never comes to this. the bcs works just fine as it is. the only possible tweak id even think is ok is a possible plus 1 if we have 3 or 4 teams that are equals.

it wouldnt work though because the networks want to ruin college football and they wouldnt want a flex type schedule were we could have 1 play in game, 2 play in games or no play in games depending on team records

We not only invented college football, but we saved it too. Par for the course for the mighty Bama.

If there are only four teams. There will be a conference champion with a better record. The only way there should be at large bids is if it is 8 or more teams in the playoff

Record isn't everything. Cincy had a better record than Florida a couple years ago and they lost by a million. I think saying lets put the best 4 teams in seems pretty reasonable. I wouldnt see a sport canceling the playoffs because they decided to crown someone's arse early.

if a power conference is undefeated then it shouldn't play a play in game unless there are 2 or 3 other undefeated teams.

in my much better way of doing things last year LSU would have been in the title game because we were the only undefeated team in the top 4.

bama and osu would have had a play in game. Then the winner plays LSU.

The lone unbeaten team shouldn't have to play a one or two loss team to reach the title game. they should just be in.

of course no matter what last year LSU and bama would have played because okie state and stanford would have been raped so it wouldn't matter either way.

It opens the door for conference bias. Big East is a power conference but they stink...
