I still maintain as poorly as LSU prepared for 1/9/12, I would not be so sure that ok state would have just rolled over.

I was with you until this idiocy. One thing Alabama fans said that I agreed with was that if those two teams played ten times, it would be 5-5.

lol, but they lost. Accept it. They were not the better team that day.
LSU won the West and the Conference. Just a fact.

Oh for sure. We would have gotten smoked by any of the top ten teams in the championship that year. It was like we forgot there was a game.

Sooo you're saying Bama should of never been in that game?
Not at all.
I'm saying that's how things work out for LSU.

Miles has ruined LSU plain and simple. 21-0 was a direct result of his stupidity that continues today. We will never sniff another NC until he is gone. Hell u give 70% the coaches the team he had in 07
And they finish undefeated.
And they finish undefeated.

No winning 9-6 did. If LSU would have lost they would have beat Bama in the mulligan..

Alabama was every bit as good as LSU in 2011.

Winning all those games despite bad offensive game planning is what ruined Miles. It gave a false sense of that years success being a result of his strategy when in fact LSU was winning on the back of the defense, a ton of talent and a honey badger.
This. Les always seemed to brush off critics of the offense when LSU won games shittily due to great defense. Or beating a team that was clearly outmatched in a close game. The fact that we won seemed to be enough for Miles. Anyone with a modicum of common sense and foresight could see what was happening and what it would inevitably lead to.
Just look at the offensive gameplan on 1/9/12. Because Jefferson came in and had limited success with some option against Bama in 9-6, Les centered the gameplan around it for the Champ game, as if Nick fricking Saban wasn't going to be ready to shut that shite down. And there was no back up plan. No adjustments. Hell, he didn't pull Jefferson for a SINGLE frickING SNAP. The man is stubborn and when things aren't going well he doesn't have the personality to make good adjustments.
Losing that game 21-0 was absolutely inexcusable. Losing to that Bama team is fine, obviously they were an elite team. But the manner in which we lost was absurd. Does anyone think if the head coaches were switched that outcome would have looked anything like that? Of course not. LSU fans that defend Les' blatant ineptitudes have their heads firmly buried in the sand.

defense gave up one TD, no offense at all.

Alabama got handed everything that year. Didn't win their own division or conference and gets invited to play in the NC game. Ok state misses an easy field goal to lose to a bad Iowa state team in OT.

Gotcha. Because there wasn't another team out there that would have even given either of those two teams a decent game that year.

Yes. Les should have resigned after

starting 13-0 is unusual, even for Alabama.
But winning SEC and National titles sure isn't.
And never with 2 losses.

It's amazing to me how defensive many Alabama fans are in spite of the program's ridiculous success.
