But we did and look what happened

I do think Vandy would have benefited from an offensive coach and keeping Bob Shoop at D coordinator

Yup and we will leave it warm for them as they fall into it and we head back up to the top of the East!

Big talk from a dumpster fire of a program that hasn't had a winning season since 2009. Try beating Vanderbilt for a change before you recite Butch Jones' "Maxims" before home games.

Shoop was always going to follow Franklin. My argument for a defensive over offensive coach is in the CC board.

Harrisburg is not considered NOVA.

VA boy here by birth and attended JMU long enough to party my way out the door.

Good for Vandy, he'll be good fit. He's used to a winning program that still has high academic standards. Based on what was available in the market this was a solid choice.

This is the best part of his resume'.

Not sure where you're going with this.

This thread reinforces the idea that Vandy has replaced Bama and UF as UT's primary rival.

If Vanderbilt were worried about coaching ties to the South, they would have hired the OC Mike Bloomgreen. He has degrees from Florida State and Alabama. That being said, they likely wanted to use the Stanford model of recruiting national for kids that can handle the academic rigors.

He's just pointing out his lack of Southern experience. The total lack does not bother me. A good coach is a good coach. He'll need some Southern staff (possibly some of the 4 holdovers left) to recruit. Beyond that, we ain't worried about nothing
