Yet he consistently puts up 100 yard games running behind a below average offensive line. Huh.

Let me know when you get the first coaching gig.

Honestly, do you think it matters what Corky doofus likes yourself thinks about any running back?

Volunteer to coach a peewee team and move up from there.

I'd just like to mention that I said from the beginning that he was good, but not great. My fellow Bama fans didn't want to hear it.

That said, if the Oline would pick it up, he could put up huge numbers due to his breakaway speed once he does get in the open.

very patient runner with good vision. He lets the play develop & then hits the hole hard.

This. Would love to have him at OM.

Thank goodness he's playing A&M this weekend.

I've always thought he would have made a great linebacker. His frame and speed...would have been scary.

The problem with Henry is Kiffin doesn't know how to use him. Running draw plays and sweeps out of the shotgun is not helpful. You put Henry in a power running scheme with a fullback and his numbers look much better

I thought the same thing the last two years; actually I didn't think he was more than average over that span. For a big guy he never hit the hole and consistently got tackled behind the line of scrimmage. If the line blew up the defense and he got a full head of steam his runs were awesome, but otherwise I wasn't that impressed.

This year seems different though. He runs hard every play and will get a few yards usually no matter what, and also makes some good reads and cuts and can pick up a long run if the blocking is great. Defintely an asset and playing as expected now. Not everybody comes into college ready to play mentally/physically as a true freshman, so it's not fair to judge a player always based on their early years. He's grown into a really good back.

I don't think ive seen one thread on here talking about how great Henry is. He gets some obligatory Heisman race mentions from ESPN only because they need to throw names out right now just because of his stats.

If want to be upset about basically nothing go ahead I guess

Yeah, it's funny but it's the OM and LSU (some who are insecure about LF7 - not all) that always post these threads.

I am not sure if he is good or great, but I am comcerned about stopping him this week. Henry and that O line are a pretty good combo

It's even funnier that Gumps feel compelled to post in them.

I completely disagree with you. Nobody says he is the best. They say he is good, which he is. The most over-rated player I have seen this year is the Cal QB. 4 picks against a PAC-10 D on national tv. I rest my case.

A slow first step, sure. Henry doesn't get caught from behind though. There are several instances of long touchdown runs where he pulls away from everybody. When he throws his head back, he's gone. He'll run between a 4.5 and a 4.6...far from desperately slow.

I'm not saying he's bad, but let's stop pretending he's any better than an average SEC running back. I can name 8 just in the SEC I would rather have than him.
