As a young boy growing up in Tuscaloosa, the only night games seemingly were played at LSU. I could get the broadcast on that big New Orleans radio station and the game of the week was called "The Pick of Dixie."

So to me, LSU will always be Death Valley.

Clemson absolutely started it. LSU's stadium's nickname was a play on Clemson's "Death Valley" - "Deaf Valley" in reference to how loud and rowdy LSU fans are. People got the two confused and "Deaf Valley" slowly morphed into "Death Valley" and now both are nicknamed that. I do think that LSU's "Death Valley" is more notorious though.
