I would be behind Paul Rhodes. Seems to be able to motivate 2 and 3 star talent to compete against much more highly rated players.

I believe there was an article written in 2010 that described the state of the defense when Rhoads got to Iowa St. Two hours or so into the very first practice he stopped practice completely bc not one player knew how to tackle. At the time I blew it off as bullshite, but now it seems pretty plausible. He even blamed the previous coaching staff.
