Basically some homer LSU cop illegally tried to bust them and the DA called him out on it.

I watch college football and I couldn't pick either out of a line up. It was probably just the loitering after hours, weed and the gun.

It's going to be funny when all the outside laborers use "but I work outside in the heat" to try and help their case with him.

This country is really messed up. Use to be rule of law. Now its rule of law for only certain people. The rest get a bye.

Though only Robinson and Jones were arrested and taken to jail, there were four people in Robinson's rental car early in the morning of May 17. The other two were handcuffed initially, Guerriero said, but only Jones and Robinson were booked. The incident report obtained through public records made no mention of the other two involved in the case.

quote:

"Mr. Jones is the one who called it to the police's attention because he didn't want anything to happen," Guerriero said. "'Look, I have a gun in my lap. My hands are up. I just want to show you.'"

quote:

Possessing the gun didn't violate the law, so Guerriero said were no grounds for further searches. The attorney said it wasn't clear if the car occupants gave consent to search the vehicle.

"Nothing said they did," Guerriero said.

No matter who the players are or who they play for, he needs to lose his job. There are alot of people who have played football that don't deserve a free pass for committing crimes just because they practiced outside.

If they smelled weed smoke, and saw a gun, they had probably cause to believe that the perpetrators were in possession of a dangerous controlled substance and a firearm.

Just possessing weed and a gun simultaneously is a violation of the law.

This is hilarious. Not just looking the other way on your standard rape case, but guns AND drugs! Even the pre-rich get treated better than the rest of us.

This guy is gonna end up wishing he was never born after the social justice backlash he's about to get via the media.

What is a "standard rape case" and are you saying failure to prosecute this case is more egregious or less egregious than failure to prosecute said "standard rape case"?

This DA is on a 30 year reign and just won his last election un-challenged.

Surely in a 3 decade history he's made similar head-scratching decisions?

So they (all 4 of them) were in possession of firearms and a dangerous controlled substance - according to their own attorney.

Got it.

They were working and sweating, while we were all in the air conditioning.

It's very unlikely he has came across a star Bama football player and experienced the extremes Bama will go to protect its football players.

Plus I seriously doubt he would be reelected if he claimed he let someone off of serious crimes purely because they work outside and sweat and it was blew up where everyone seen it.

Maybe that the 2 guys that didn't play football for Alabama was arrested and booked too?

But, no the 2 guys from Louisiana that didn't play football for Alabama were let go. Only the Bama players were booked.
