I am embarrassed for the decent people of Ouachita Parish

I really don't care of the legal outcome of those kids, but that statement.......

The only possible charge was possession of a stolen firearm, and that was easily explainable, traceable, and likely turned up no evidence of a crime. And the weapon was likely found from an illegal search of the car. Nothing else was a crime.

What are you talking about? It's a felony to be in possession of a dangerous controlled substance and a firearm at the same time - regardless of if the firearm was stolen or not.

Someone got paid off, plain and simple. It's Louisiana after all.

I know everyone around here, Bama fans included, would love for the DA to have been paid off to get these charges dropped.

But I just don't see it happening. There is too much incompetence involved to make the payments necessary.

Geezus make something up if you have to but don't say that you're not charging them because they play football.

Basically some homer LSU cop illegally tried to bust them and the DA called him out on it.

It's even worse because an illegal search is being thrown around as a reason. That's a ready made excuse not to file but he went with that other nonsense instead.

What is funny is seeing all the LSU denizens whining like babies while begging for anything against these lads, who are now not guilty of anything other than leaving Louisiana. That is truly sad.
