They commented that he wasn't a factor in Dak's life until his mom got sick, which apparently isn't true. CBS definitely owes him an apology.

Yeah, I don't really know what the true story is either.

CBS should apologize though if they don't have any facts to back up what was said.

Good god. People that listen to Pawl (Daks dad included if it indeed was him) are fricking stupid.

Basically Vern/Gary (one of them) made a comment during the Texas A&M game that Dak's father was a "non factor" in his life and his dad, understandably, is upset and wants an apology.

At least that is what I gathered from the call.

Yeah the university pressed them for an apology and it hasn't happened, so I guess he felt like he needed to press the issue. On one hand he's right and it was shitty they made that assumption. On the other hand he needs to let his son play ball and not draw attention to himself.

No, Vern/Gary covered the LSU-Bama game. This was apparently said during the A&M-Auburn game.

CBS had 2 SEC games this past weekend.

Well ... Finebaums's Show is where you go as a last resort. So I guess he feels like it was his last resort.

Can't say I blame him if it was said about him and it isn't true.

But CBS would not be stonewalling if they hadn't been told that by Dak or someone at MSU.

Apparently Dak said they didn't even interview him.

CBS said that Verne and Gary were just announcing hard like they do every game, and they did absolutely nothing wrong. They reject any notion of it, and stand behind what they did.

So shocking that CBS would report false info.
