Mathieu over Adams easily

And it seems like your list is skewed toward what the players have done in the NFL more than the SEC.

They mad. If this list is strictly about their play in the SEC and college then there is literally no justification for leaving Fairley off

Based strictly on college, you can't leave off Greg Robinson either.

Fairley and Robinson had arguably the two single most dominant seasons for any linemen on their sides of the ball in all of CFB for the last decade least

You honestly believe not a single Alabama defensive player is the best at their position?

Obviously he's factoring in NFL play for some of them. Why else would David Pollack, a 3 TIME ALL-AMERICAN, be left off?

He was a 3 time All-SEC and 2 time All-American

Maybe I will. I think I'll start with the QB who beat out your QB when they competed for the job at Florida.

I can understand that. I also feel like I can throw in a few LSU and Auburn players off the top of my head to fill that role. Hardy, while a nut job, is killing it in the NFL and that probably skews my opinion some.

Dee Ford probably gets honorable mention

How many SEC players since 2000 have seasons with 10+ sacks in college and the NFL?

Steroids?
Maybe he has the same policy as the MLB HOF

Are we going by college stats/success? Because in college Amari Cooper was better than all 3 IMO.

SS - Jamal Adams (LSU)
FS - Eric Berry (Tennessee)
CB - Patrick Peterson (LSU)
CB - Janoris Jenkins (Florida)

I don't know if I'd put Adams on there, but I'd definitely put Honey Badger as the slot CB in Nickel and Dime situations.

C - Mike Pouncey (Florida)
OG - La'el Collins (LSU)
OG - James Carpenter (Alabama)
OT - Marcus McNeil (Auburn)
OT - Michael Oher (Ole Miss)

If any Bama player should be on the OL it's Barrett Jones not James Carpenter.

Not that it matters, but the OP is doing a 4-3 defense.

Willis was a tackling machine, but Ro McClain had better overall stats.

NFL play shouldn't factor into this.

Trust me, I agree.

But you said yourself:

But if you don't think NFL should factor, then you agree that Fairley and Greg Robinson should be on the list.

They both only had one good year and GR didn't even earn all-American honors.
