I will acknowledge that in recent history Florida has been much better than Tennessee.

I am happy to keep Tennessee on our schedule every year because they are 1b as far as rivals go. Who is you're second biggest rival? Would you drop them if some other big 10 team asked?

Florida and LSU are both why we went ahead of TAM, us and South Carolina are why LSU didn't go.(I think it was SC at least) I don't see your point here.

I am being completely honest.

Why can’t you agree that LSU is at a competitive disadvantage as long as Florida remains their permanent opponent?

Yes right now UF is better than 10er C.

Why can’t you freely acknowledge that you are very happy indeed to keep the advantage as long as Florida remains an SEC perennial power, and Tennessee remains an SEC cellar dweller?

Happy? No, I don't really GAF.

While Bama doesn’t have an unfair advantage against TAM like they do against LSU, Florida is the main reason why Bama went to the SEC C.G. last year instead of TAM.

NO. We had the best record and we beat LSU. That's why we went to the SEC CG

quote:

Instead, the Bama fans flame the LSU fans by calling them whiners and crybabies. If you don't want to be honest, who are the real trolls on this thread?

If they or yall would shut up crying we wont call yall cry babies. Try it out and see.

Is this not the case EVERY year? Someone losing ALWAYS allows some one else to go.

Yes, but some can't seem to grasp this concept.

By the way, LSU beat S.C. but lost a low scoring game to Florida last year and a thriller to your Crimson Tide.

Face it; Georgia and Florida have been the perennial powers in the SEC East since 2000. They have won the vast majority of SEC East titles, and their recruiting programs stock the most SEC quality talent year in and year out in the East. Both Florida and Georgia have the deepest recruiting talent base of all the states in the SEC East.

Therefore, Auburn and LSU have the toughest permanent cross-divisional opponents virtually every year.

All the other SEC West teams have an easier road to the divisional title in that respect.

When there were only two main opponents for the SEC West title (LSU vs. Bama), the Florida advantage probably doesn't come into play that often.

But adding a third perennial power like TAM due to their recruiting potential, now LSU is facing two primary rivals who both play SEC doormats in the form of Tennessee and Missouri every year. Not sure who will be TAM's permanent opponent, but it surely won't be Georgia or Florida.

Now, I see a real competitive disadvantage for LSU that will show up a lot more often as long as the permanent opponent rule exists, and that goes for Auburn as well.

And if I were a Bama or TAM fan, I would be laughing all the way to the SEC C.G. whenever Florida did my dirty work in the seasons I lost to LSU.

This year, LSU gets the double slam with Florida and Georgia--Wow!

Tell me where I am wrong.

Only counting division games is more fair, but the argument against it is that it makes the cross-division games essentially OOC games and therefore less important. I think the SEC is going to want each conference game to have max importance especially with the SEC network coming online.

It will still matter for overall standings.

You are not wrong, simply being a pussy.

Auburn has never complained to my knowledge because it is a rivalry. We didn't complain during a 6 year losing streak to UT.

You face an opponent on the field. In fact it is an advantage in championship games / playoffs games starting 2014. You are battle tested.

Probably why SEC teams seem to beat the shite out of all other teams come championship time.

Expressing yourself is not that tough. You should try it more often--try a few less brain-dead clichés.

Probably, it doesn't bother me though. Gotta kill slow at work time somehow.

BTW you gonna see TAB on Sunday. Playing at sunset and followed by Stevie Wonder, should be a lot of fun.
