I honestly feel like the CFP will spell the end of the Bama dynasty. Give nick a month to prepare and he'll win every time. But if he has to play on a week maybe two of preparation, the gap will shrink. More similar to his regular seasons.

I can see that. Its tough to play/coach your best every week, especially when schemes can change drastically from team to team.

All I know is Miles has more than held his own against bama when there is only one or two weeks to prepare.

In general I feel the opposite.

IMO Saban is at his best in the throes of playing every week during the regular season. After a bye week and in bowl games his winning percentage is comparatively lower.

It'll be more similar to NFL. Most talented team doesn't always win. Saban and the tide havent gone undefeated in the regular season in quite some time. Plus the tide style of play isn't a great match up for some styles.

The matchups between Saban and Cameron at LSU will be things of legend.

It seemed like for the longest time saban did a great job of hiring asst coaches. Maybe Les has finally figured out he needed to hire elite help. Look what chavis did for the defense.

So, you (skrayper) are going on record and proclaiming the REASON bama LOST to A&M is because the tide had to PLAY LSU the week before.

They shouldn't have to play ATM and LSU in the same season. Too hard.

Nope, we lost because Texas A&M finished with more points than us.

So no one remembers the 2009 Season where practically ever team had a bye week before playing Alabama?

Laughable.

Bama gets a bone tossed its way for a couple years and everyone thinks the REC is doing work..

Well in bowl games he is 5-1 (83%) at Bama with 3 of those W's in the BCSNCG.

Let's just ignore 2010 when we had Florida and USC and it seemed like every team had a bye week before playing us. Yes that's old news and definitely not relevant.

Was that schedule a "bridge" schedule and made by an LSU grad? Don't think so. that was when all the schedules were rotating opponents and the SEC office had no control over it. It was rotating for years before 2010. Now the SEC decides who plays who.

[quote]I don't catch your point RE: the 2011 draw affecting the outcome in LSU's favor
LSU's SEC East Opponents in 2011:
Florida
Tennessee
Kentucky

Alabama's SEC East Opponents in 2011:
Florida
Tennessee
Vanderbilt

Kentucky and Vandy had the same record that year

No
Vandy was 6-6
Kent was 5-7
Vandy beat kent 38-8

LSU had a huge schedule advantage!!!

Out of all the LSU and OSU fans bitching about getting screwed by the permanent cross division rival thing, the team that is truly getting fricked is 10er C, and they're not bitching.

Because they want to beat us more than they want a title, and I can dig it.

How would we feel? Probably the same we felt when we had to play 6 teams coming off bye weeks?
