Cults are often willing to kill or be killed for their cause. No fan base in the United States is more willing to kill another person over a football game than the Alabama fan base.

We may have a few sick o fans that might be willing to kill, but that is not an entire fan base.
Cults also often put their leader on a pedestal and worship him as a deity. No fan base in the universe worships a successful football coach as a deity more than the Alabama fan base. Alabama fans wear houndstooth patterned shirts, hats, purses, and underwear 30 years after Bear Bryant's death just because he was known for wearing that style of clothing.

Please look at a magazine once in a while that is not a sports magazine, and see how popular the houndstooth fabric is, and it has nothing to do with Bama fans.
The fans have also set up sites on facebook called the Church of Saban and the Sons of Saban. I believe there is a group of people called the Sons of Saban who attend every Alabama home game

These might be some fans.........you're trying to make it sound like an entire fan base.

I'm sure the only reason Bama fans wear houndstooth is because they saw it in the most recent J. Crew catalog and they're just trying to stay on top of that latest trends.

Just a typical thread that Barners start, trying to count coup. Nothing to see here really.

Are you scared of the truth? It's okay, they have rescue societies to help break the cycle and strangle hold cults have on individuals and families.

Do we need to setup an intervention or rescue?

Cults usually have rituals where they stand around a sacred place and perform acts of homage. Ring a bell? It's basically the same as what people who live in jungles do around a fire or some sacred object. AU fans do the same thing just in an urban environment.

You are connecting the alabama fanbase cult connections left and right. The op should quote this as well, as it further proves the point.

We do things individually. AU fans gather together to perform their homage. It's a tribal thing. I guess you could say you guys are the bushmen of the SEC.
