I was at the Ole Miss homecoming game vs Vandy in 1989 when Chucky Mullins saved the game with the hit that eventually cost him his life.

Everyone went crazy until they realized that Mullins was not getting up. It was a great game
but very tragic at the same time.

Really don't think that can be classified as "coolest" but I will never forget it.

Does it have to be football? I saw some things like what you described at Arkansas basketball games.

1. Bud Walton Arena vs LSU. Randy Livingston had just returned from a serious knee injury. He is on a fast break and his leg just crumples under him when he plants to go up for the layup. Place falls silent. Not a word for 5 minutes as Dale and the trainers tend to him. As he's helped to his feet, he gets a thunderous standing O from the place. Loudest cheer of the night.

2. NCAA had conducted an investigation of our basketball program and removed Sunday Adebayo from our team, saying he was illegally recruited. He was allowed to transfer to Memphis State and the mandatory redshirt year was waived, meaning he was eligible immediately. The following year, he was on the Memphis State team that came to BWA. When his name was called in the starting lineups, he got a HUGE welcome. He came to mid-court and waved to the fans. In a move I had never seen before, the NCAA admitted they were wrong in making him transfer to Memphis State, granted him an extra year of eligibility and let him play a final year at Arkansas.

3. In the final game at Barnhill Arena, we played and beat LSU. Following the game we had a huge farewell ceremony to Barnhill. Dale Brown came out of the visitors' locker room and asked if he could make some comments. He said he always loved coming to Fayetteville, even thouth he never won here, because the fans were enthusiastic, classy and clever. He won over a bunch of Hog fans that night.

Ole Miss vs UF game in Oxford back in 02 or 03. Both teams came out of their "tunnels" at the same time lead out by their respective cheerleaders.

Both team's leading male, flag-toting cheerleaders went a bit too far into the middle of the field and ran slap into each other.

What happened next??? None other than a handful of male cheerleaders proceeding to beat the shite out of each other at the 50 yard line.

Ok...maybe not "coolest" but definitely funniest.

It was at the Alabama/Arkansa game in Tuscaloosa. Can't remember the exact year but I think it was 1999. Watts blew out his knee for the millionth time, Alexander ran for over 200 yards and Bama won pretty big. Anyway, we were sitting in the endzone seats during warmups and one of the Bama kickers is kicking field goals. This really obnoxious older couple from Arkansas is heckling and jeering the guy pretty bad and he hits a low duck hook right at em and hits em both. He got his arse royally chewed by Dubose who saw it but it was still one of the funniest things I have seen.

had forgotten SC used to play in Little Rock. Was that the same game where SC had a WR wide, and I do mean wide open, way down field but for whatever reason we couldn't connect on the pass? The only picture in my head of that is just seeing a Gamecock WR all alone and remembering something got F'd up with that play... could be an entirely different game?

This was the Alabama game in Tuscaloosa in 2000. James Adkinson was wide open by about 15 yards but got Alligator arms and let the pass hit off of his fingertips. Still to this day, that play makes me sick to my stomach.

I thought the Rutgers win over Louisville in 06 was crazy. Those fans running on the field a few times. Fastest fans in the nation!

Alabama squeeked by 35-28.

I was at that game, in the Alabama student section. A late interception by Stoerner secured the win for Bama.

Robert Meachem's touchdown vs Memphis a few years ago. He literally ran circles around the entire Memphis team.

Me and my fiend accidently found ourselves in the broadcast booth of CBS in tiger stadium. we were headed to the upper deck but accidently went up a elavator to the press box and where they do all the broadcast and shite. Some GOD miracle way we didn't get stopped and have no idea how we didn't, but anyways we eventually got pulled over and some USHER appointed us in the right direction. Before that though my friend noticed they had a free buffet so we chowed down. If you saw us you would have been dying in laughter cause there we are eating gumbo with our jersey's on while everybody else had formal clothing on.

I was at the FIU-Miami fight game. Stadium became a bit tense after the whole thing went down, and I was wearing my LSU hat. So I didn't quite fit in. But team loyalty counts.
