Skenes didn’t get the win the first time the teams met. It’s not like they hit Skenes, but the score was 1-1 in the bottom of 8. Arkansas won the regular season game that Skenes started by holding LSU hitting down and getting to extras in a 1-1 game.
While I don’t think Tennessee can “knock Skenes around”, I could see them getting 3 or so runs. If they do that, their pitching is capable of winning that game. In no way would I consider LSU a lock to win just because Skenes is on the mound.

We weren’t the only ones. There was a point you guys had faced like 10 lefties in a row. Was it the SEC tourney? It works. If we keep you at .300, we have the bats to match that .300. It’s simple science really.

You’re confusing correlation with causation. There’s really no magic potion to stopping the LSU offense. Last year, sure. Throw a bunch of junk ball lefties at LSU. That’s just not a weakness this year. That said, they’ve had their share of bad hitting games this year, but that’s baseball

I’m not a troll. Paul Skenes is the best pitcher in the country but you’d be a moron to think it’s not possible for Tennessee to pull out a win in game 1.
Aaron Nola was the best pitcher in the country for two straight years, rolled into Omaha 14-0 on the season and lost a game 2-1 on two unearned runs to UCLA.
