To put it another way, the guy that was playing Center for those lines that Gurley and freshman Chubb ran behind just signed a 3 year extension to continue being the starting Center for the Patriots.

David Andrews, criminally underrated as well

KJ hasn't been the same since he was injured a few years ago. He doesn't deserve to be mentioned until he proves he has fully recovered.

He deserves to be mentioned if true freshman kids are already being mentioned. Kerryon when healthy is much greater than Joshua Jacobs also.

Hey now, if you get 4 YPC on 3 straight runs that's a first down so boom dynamite.

I remember the announcers saying pretty much that about Hurd last season.

Based on what exactly, hopes and dreams? Johnson has never run for more than 4.5 YPC on 10 or more carries in a game. He averages 4.71 YPC for his career.

Jacobs averages 6.56 YPC on 86 attempts. 450 yards on 70 attempts against Power 5 teams (6.43 YPC). 83 yards on 13 carries (6.38 YPC) against Auburn/Florida/Clemson.

I guess you can argue one over the other, but the idea that Kerryon Johnson has proven anything other than just being another guy is laughable. Like Pettway, all of (there aren't many) Johnson's big numbers are built on the backs of games against dreadful run defenses.

I have a real problem putting Guice at #2. Really, I have a problem putting Guice and BoScar above Pettway. Just think he has done more over a longer sample size than the other two

Pettway played healthy as the main runner in 6 games against P5 teams last year (Texas A&M, LSU, MSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt) (159 YPG, 6.0 YPC).

Scarbrough played healthy as the main runner in 5 games against P5 teams last year (LSU, Auburn, Florida, Washington, Clemson) (101 YPG, 6.8 YPC).

Both had injury issues. One played against moistly awful run defenses, one played against Top 25 run defenses. Pettway is a solid back, but had a great 2 months against bad defenses last year. That's it. If he rumbles through Clemson, State and LSU the first 2 months of 2017 then I'll tip my cap to him. Until then, I'm skeptical.

Scarborough has 2 games with over 100 yards rushing in his entire career. Spin it any way you want, but that's not the stat line of the #3 RB in the country.

Yea, we all know massive yardage totals against pathetic opponents is how people judge the best players. Makes sense.

Bo has shown he can make plays against great defenses in huge games. Pettway has not. Spin it any way you want.

If you were a running back and saw Bert's defense lined up across the way, wouldn't you get a little tight in the drawers?

Pettway ran against who was in front of him. And dominated every single time. Always looked like the alpha in the backfield. BoScar was overshadowed by better RB play most of the time he was out there

Crockett is the real deal and Ralph Webb should be higher.

Did you watch any of the college football season's most important football games in December or January last season or no?

Anybody who doesn't think Guice is the best back in the SEC just hasn't watched him play that often. Pettway is a tank and I love his play style, Bo is also a fricking tank and I'd rather get shot than have to tackle him one on one, but Guice has it all and runs like he's allergic to the ground (got that saying from LF). He also hasn't had hardly any injury history at all.

I'll add in, I have no idea if Bo is durable enough to go an entire season. I actually don't think that he is based on his prior history dating back to high school. But he's proven his chops down the stretch last season on toughness, running ability and overall talent level.

Yea - I put Guice at #1 without any internal debate. He's fast, strong, great feet and has been healthy so far. He's a great player.

Barring injury give me Bo over any of the others. Shows up in big time games

Florida 91 yards 2tds
Wash 180 yards 2tds
Clemson 93 yards 2tds
