Salaries (2015) added in parenthesis. Closer than I expected.

quote:

Texas Teams in the Top 25
13. TCU (3.9m)
15. Houston (1.45m)
23. Baylor (4.2m)

Texas Teams not in the Top 25 (by votes)
27. Texas A&M (5m)
36. Texas (5.1m)

Tcu is atleast much more represented in dfw than ut-austin is. Thats certain.

You couldn't be more wrong. TCU is a much better team right now, and will be so for years, but they have a tiny fraction of the DFW fanbase compared to Texas.

Ehh... there's no way to know if that is accurate for TCU or Baylor or where they got that information. Those are private schools that don't disclose coach's compensation and well-sourced rumors have stated for years that Patterson and Briles were both beneficiaries of a lot of compensation from non-salary sources. Those guys were both extremely highly compensated, which is why neither left of their own volition. They definitely made more than $3.9 or $4.2. I've heard 6-something for each of them when it was all said and done.

Had a great time while it lasted, though!

Sometimes it is better quit while you had a great run then try to drag things out half assed.

I do hope you will drop some posts during the season with your usual insight :)

Is that how it is now? I grew up in the DFW Area, and at least half of everyone I knew was a TCU fan, always throwing up the horned frog gesture.

And this was before they joined the Big 12, too.
