Considering Lsu didn't even start playing football until 2000, it's pretty impressive they are 11 and 13 in these lists

It's time to lose a little bit of that Texas entitlement. Y'all were never what y'all thought y'all were and are quickly turning into the new Nebraska without all the national titles. No longer a media darling and no longer guaranteed top recruiting classes. Y'all should be begging to play aggy every year but they'd probably dominate y'all these days too

Texas 53 27 24 2
USC 53 35 18 0
Georgia 52 30 19 3
Tennessee 52 28 24 0
Oklahoma 50 29 20 1
LSU 48 25 22 1
Ohio St 48 23 25 0
Penn St 47 28 17 2
Florida St 45 27 16 2
Michigan 45 21 24 0
Georgia Tech 44 25 19 0
Florida 43 22 21 0
Arkansas 42 15 24 3
Auburn 41 23 16 2
Clemson 41 22 19 0
Miami FL 38 19 19 0
Texas A&M 38 17 21 0
Mississippi 37 24 13 0

Rebs should be higher based on this metric alone.

Ole Miss has the same number of bowl wins as Tennessee, more than Ohio State, Auburn, Texas A&M, Miami, Clemson, among others.

All those teams you named make it to better bowl games than us so you can't just go by bowl wins.

Not a bad composite ranking. The coaches poll started in 1950 so it is more of a reflection of modern football...but it does leave off several of Bama's Rose Bowl teams.

We are entitled to believe we are 7th/8th.. display that third world education for us and provide some facts otherwise.

I don't believe FSU started playing football until after World War Two.

They don't belong anywhere in an appreciation of all time programs.

Final Coaches Poll rankings were before bowl games until 1974 and AP before bowls until 1968. The general thought was bowls were mostly a reward for a good season. Very different world unless your initials are LF.

Not really. FSU had some success in the 60s. Beat OU in a Bowl Game. Beat the Gators a couple of times. When Bowden got there, he won 10 games in 1977 and the rest is history! They have done more than 80% of the schools and been playing half as long.

Really now Whiskey? You do know they beat Tennessee in the 1958 for their 1st SEC victory. Did not take FSU near as long to win a NC as most. You cannot hold age of program against them.

You had a good run in the SEC with whiny pants, but you don't even own your home state, gator!

Easy Gator, here is how:
1. FSU leads the gators in winning % 682 to 630.
2. Bowl games, 45 to 43.
3. Winning % in bowls, 61 to 54.
4. Consensus All Americans 45 to 32.
5. Weeks at #1, 72 to 41.
Tied at 3 NCs and 3 Heismans each. And yes, you lead the series by 9 games based on the beginning of the series and FSU football being 10-20 years old. BTW, Lane Fenner was inbounds!

Nebraska has one more title, five to four. You really need to stop getting your talking points from goofy aggy, even though you unwittingly backhanded them when you said dominating a weak conference (which the Southwest Conference was not, until the last 10 years).

1. Because in the ACC
2. Because in the ACC
3. Bowden did better developing than Spurrier I agree
4. Because in the ACC

When you play no one constantly, it's kind of easy to have a slightly higher win percentage.

Shouldn't be above Miami either way.

I expected no less from you. FSU did play ball prior to the ACC. You do know that? Ammirite? In the 60s, 70s, and the 80s they played a lot of SEC schools. They played the better B1G schools. FSU beat the SEC Champion and B1G champions in the 80s multiple times. They beat SEC Champ Auburn 3 years in a row to include the beat down in Auburn in 87 and again in the Sugar Bowl in 89.
They manned up and played Miami every year. Gators are just plain yeller when it come to the Canes. I could go on and on and on. But this ACC Schtick is old, really old considering whiny pants was 5-9-1against FSU. Factor in 3 NC games with the ACC and SEC in the recent years and you really should move on and find a new excuse!
