Well We've both won two SEC games. I think Arkansas is better than Auburn and we beat MSU much more handily. AZ State beat UCLA too.

doesn't matter. A&M/BAMA in 2 weeks will say alot about how the west will shake out.

The continued head-scratcher for me ...

4-0 Baylor
#4.
In the nation
With wins over SMU, Lamar, Rice, and Texas Tech.

Yet 5-0 Texas A&M and 5-0 Florida, with victories over the likes of Arizona State, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ole Miss, aren't even top 10.

With a remaining schedule that ought to make anyone guffaw, the polls have positioned Baylor for a very undeserved national championship season.

What difference does it make? It'll all turn out in the wash.

Interesting, but the rankings are meaningless

They may be able to trick the playoff committee, but you can't trick the playoffs themselves. They'll still have to go through Bama/LSU/TAMU/FL/OSU/Michigan State/winner of the PAC if they want to hoist the trophy. I have little faith in their ability to do that.

LSU at 5 by default bc 3 teams ahead of them lost. I think we are prolly a top 10-12 team but not top 5. Strange season so far and I don't think any of the ranked SEC teams would be more than a TD favorite over any of the other ranked SEC teams. Lots of parity a match ups play a huge part in how these games turn out. Looking to be a wild ride in the west the rest of the way.

aTm and Florida both have better resumes so far. Utah looks for real as well. Just based off the eyeball test. Our passing game and defense is shaky at times against inferior competition. That's why we play the games though.

Oh really? Florida has a better resume after being dominated by Tennessee for 55 minutes? A&M? Beating an awful arky team and MSU at home. Out of the top 10 I'll Give you Utah and Baylor

Alabama at 10. I was sure they would be higher. You know they are just itching to get them into that top 4, every way possible.

Dont fret Lion, you are going to get your domination in 2 weeks and then you can sit and scratch your head and your azz to wonder what happened. Under estimate us at your own peril.

So, LSU still has to play

quote:

10. Alabama
11. Texas A&M
12. Florida
13. Ole Miss

along with SCar and Arkansas. And if we win all those then probably UF again in the SECG just to make it into a 4 team playoff.

Would love to know what non-SEC team has to go through all that just to make it to the championship game.

If Alabama wins out no way we should not be in the Top 4 with our schedule. We probably would have to go through more ranked teams than anyone not to mention a possible SECCG against another one.

It's this type of mentality that make the Polls worthless. Teams should be ranked by how good they are, not what their record is.

No other sport ranks teams by record only. College Basketball doesn't, College Baseball doesn't.

Do you really think A&M and FL is better than Bama? Really??

I don't like Bama, but right now I would rank them #1 in the SEC.
