Reminds me of Lane Kiffin: his shitty abrasive attitude will get him fired sooner than would otherwise be warranted.

He seems like an excellent "connector" in that it seems the kids really love playing for him. They know he has their backs and cares for them deeply, and I think he's a good X's & O's guy, but he is woefully inadequate in "command" which leads him to struggles on the recruiting trail. There is no reason Florida shouldn't be the premiere football power in the SEC. It's an excellent school with a huge student and alumni base with tons of money. Mac is not up to that task, IMO.

His teeth are too yellow for me liking. And he is worse on offense than Gustard, which makes little sense.

To everyone wanting their coach gone is change with the same or lesser results with while. You have to first have someone on the phone and know that you have a legitimate shot at a known quantity and not just a coach wanting more money from his current team second is this coach going to jump ship if his dream job opens up like Herman would have. Why take a chance on the new hot name.

Yes, it requires a strong administration for sure. I hate Florida, but they are objectively a top 10 job minimum. They should be able to go out and get a proven coach with a high chance of success. Will they? No one knows.

Great coach. Has won the SEC East multiple times. Florida should give him a long term contract with a huge buyout.

Well I am very late to this dance but here goes.

He's done a good job of somehow, someway, getting to the SEC Championship despite having an offense that is... well... offensive.

That having been said. When he has pulled this off Missouri is down, South Carolina is down, and the Vols have Butch Jones calling the shots.

He's done about as well as Bielema would have done at that same spot. Florida has access to more talent then Arkansas does but when you get right down to it... he's a head coach that just doesn't move the needle in the SEC.

He is never going to be the guy to coach Florida to an SEC championship or a national title.

Florida, with their recruiting footprint, deserves a coach who will win at least one of those two.

MAC was pretty lazy on the recruiting trail his first 18 months on the job. He seems to have turned the corner on that lately. He’s a good CEO type coach but has resisted firing Nuss which ultimately has been his demise in the eyes of his fans. He needs to take the Gus Malware route and fire assistants to take the focus off of him. If he fires Nuss and brings in a competent OC this discussion won’t happen again for a while.

Teeth look better this year.

Had his QB not taken a steroid shortcut UF may have been a much stronger contender.

Was referring to his entire career vs his time at UF... he seems to be a good guy and treats his players well. Evidenced in how he treated the recruit that had been caught with pot. He called all over trying to help the kid out. Still a tough place to coach having to live up to Spurrier and Urban. Can’t stand the jean short wearing slobs but they did have a good run at it for a while.

I agree that he seems like a good guy. Pretty strange, but seems decent. The program since he took over just doesn't look very well managed.

Honestly, I don't think he's happy at UF.

His heart isn't in it. Maybe the pressure of being an HC at a traditional SEC power, maybe he just doesn't like dealing with Gator boosters, or even doesn't like the central Florida climate. But he just seems like he'd rather be somewhere else.

He actually is nice in person. Just too arrogant that his way will work it seems.

Well, he's 2-0 against UGA. I can't talk much shite about him, except in regards to his teeth and proclivity to hump sharks.

As is yours. Jacksonville creates a hostile environment so you see the worst of both fan bases.

I've had my truck keyed, my GF got a drink poured on her two years ago by some Georgia bimbo and I ended up almost fighting three douche bags with her when I confronted them about it. In 2008 a Georgia fan almost ran my friend and I over leaving the game drunk as hell and then reversed and tried to do it again.

So not like your fan base is exactly better while there. Is what it is. shite will start with rivals are in a neutral setting. Sure Georgia fans have similar complaints and exchanges with Gator fans as well.
