I know most will just make a teeth of shark joke, but seeing what the rant thinks.

Are UF fans wanting him gone being unreasonable?

I personally am done with him. He just isn't great. He is average in gameplanning, average recruiter, average game manager. Just don't see him being good enough to beat good teams..

Your thoughts?

I know he's beaten us the past couple years but it just doesn't seem like he will ever win big with the way he recruits.

I don't think he's a good fit for Florida but I also can't see Florida justifying firing him

Weird place y'all are in

He legitimately seems like a terrible human being. This is excusable if you are a good football coach. He is not.

The East being a black hole for the past few years provided the platform for the modicum of success that he's had. With UGA finally getting back to UGA things and other teams on the up swing, it could get bad for UF in a hurry.

LSU fan in Colorado here. Mac was coaching at CSU when my son was a student. He was very highly-regarded, especially since he brought football back to relevance in Fort Collins. Heck, they got a new stadium out of his success!

That doesn't necessarily translate into SEC-level success. Maybe he's a great coach in the "lesser" conferences, and a mediocre coach in the P5??

I am an LSU fan. I hope you never get rid of him. What does that tell you?

I know with the right coach UF can be a perennial top 10 team. Under Mac they will always be a very winnable game.

If will Grier was at Florida instead of West VA right now, Florida would be a legit contender for the East.

Mac just needs to find a QB. Maybe Eason will transfer there and play in 2019.

He's a mediocre coach who will never beat a superior coached or talented team

Honestly, he reminds me of what Richt became in his last 4-5 years. He recruits at a decent level, but not up to the standard that Florida has set or what they should expect based on proximity to talent. His teams generally play well and win games, but have baffling holes at certain spots (Richt: OL, Mac: QB). National onlookers will think your fans are crazy for wanting him fired (Richt: he wins ten games per year!, Mac: he won the east in his first two years!).

Fans close to the program will get tired of him because ultimately, you feel like your program is a Ferrari and is being driven like a beat up sedan.

With that said, I hope both he and Butch Jones get the extensions they deserve. Both great men who are building their programs brick by shark.

His personality seems somewhat weird and perhaps more arrogant than is justifiable. Enough so that it adversely affects recruiting, motivation, leadership, etc?

I think he sucks. As a person and a coach. He has this false sense of importance like he's already proven that he's on the Saban level (or maybe a notch below Saban ) as a coach when in reality he hasn't done much.

Sure he won the East 2 years in a row but he's gotten extremely lucky both years and the East has been as weak as it has ever been the last 4 years or so.

His victories all look like the UT game this year or the LSU game last year where his team kinda falls arse backwards into a win. At the end of the year, his record looks ok but when you look at it game by game, it doesn't look good at all.

He's not that good. He constantly frustrated me at Bama. Almost all of his wins at Florida seem like ugly wins.

"Humped the shark" could become a saying to describe when a school realizes their coach is not the guy; Mac has humped the shark.

I think he's a good coach, but he's not a good fit at UF. He's better suited for a lesser program like Muschamp at USCe or Charlie Strong at USF.

Won back to back east titles and starting a true freshman this year. Two close losses to improving west teams. Give him a break
