For real, I thought EVERY school had a Bonfire for their last game of the season when I was a kid

Brainwashed--uh, I mean, trained up right--from an early age

Plus, that Aggie drum cadence gets in your fricking blood. Some of my earliest memories are of my Dad just randomly tapping out that beat on a tabletop or something.

Now even Ags don't want to talk about Johnny Cash anymore.

You're right, they want to talk about everyone the frick else. Nevermind the fact that the additional name which has popped up in this dog and pony show is a guy out on the West coast. To satisfy some twisted sense of giri to A&M or Billy Luicci or something, they're deflecting onto players at SEC institutions.

My dad had no loyalty to college. He went to North Central State in Edmond, OK paying his way on a tennis scholarship. FWIW he beat every Big 8 opponent he faced, or so says my mom. My college loyalty was never that strong growing up, I was always anti-Oklahoma, being the only Texan in my extended family. Growing up it was Dallas Cowboys or bust. I also rooted for the teasips a time or too during the State Fair(something I am ashamed of). It wasn't until deciding on college that I chose A&M, and of course, when you go there, how you do anything other than fall in love, I'll never know. Hopefully my son(s) will grow up with it ingrained in their soul(s). I work with a Miss State grad today, and working out of Caldwell, and living in College Station, told me he'd send his sons to A&M, but never tu or Ole Miss. It is infectious I tell you.

They are just mad we out-crazy them. They thought that back before the Aggies joined, the craziest and most passionate fanbases couldn't possibly exist outside their footprint. No one could be what they are. We are crazier and more passionate. DWI.

Why am I suddenly picturing nondescript buildings acting as indoctrination facilities?

A&M fans. You're doing it wrong. You're supposed to be saying things like "All In" and "It's a God thing" Seek your Auburn brothers for wisdom.

That's pretty cool about your dad

Growing up for me it was always either A&M or Michigan (mom's alma mater). Had more exposure to A&M though since my dad was most often stationed in Texas or the South with the military. One of my favorite childhood memories was seeing A&M and Michigan play each other in the '95 Alamo Bowl. Aggies won behind the play of Dat Nguyen and Sirr Parker, among others

And none of them look too dissimilar, so you have no idea where, exactly, you're being taken to be reprogrammed.

Michigan fan told me that A&M didn't have a chance in that game if McElroy didn't play.

McElroy didn't play but I did drink some sweet Michigan paid for beer!
