He has the advantage of knowing what we can afford to pay.

I'm sure our $75M Budget is chump change to some of you; and while it is the smallest budget in the SEC, it is still good enough for 45th nationally.

The question is does he want to face another rebuild at Florida.

Now that takes some balls. LMAO- major props to you. Those dingleberries are still mad at Urban's departure. They think they are elite. You ain't shite gatahs. I agree that it will be a rebuild. And you ain't getting out of the East with McElway at the helm. He'll leave for greener pastures like Iowa.

Has Mississippi St even had anything to build? You have 0 SEC or NCs in any major sport.

I don't need your food asswipe. And don't worry. You aren't even on our level. Harbaugh pushed your shite in last year. Maybe Wisky or Nebraska will do it to you this year.

. At Florida he would compete for the Directors Cup.

He would do well at Florida, but the job is more demanding with shorter ropes, and more athletic programs to work with. In other words, his job at MSU is relatively easy.

Underwhelming hire, but replacing the GOAT is hard, this is the AD equivalent of replacing Saban or the OBC- its a thankless effort that the top tier guys might pass on.

We offered the UNC AD (which I was not a fan of) somewhere around $1.5 million.

That was puzzling given UNC just dodged a multisport Death Penalty.

So you're saying the athletic department is modelled on Starkville?

IMO - the AD at UF is an ideal job. It is ridiculously easy to recruit at UF. If you can't recruit in any sport in Gainesville, you must suck. UF was winning Directors cups before Foley got here and we should be winning after he retires. Whoever gets this job has a 4 leaf clover up the ying yang.

You have no idea what you're talking about. You also embarrass yourself every time you post.

Rumor is that Stricklin has turned down Florida for a second time, will the third time be a charm?

I think this is a good thing for both parties. I'm not sure about hiring a lifelong fan of one school to be the AD at another school. Especially in the SEC.

It's just different here.

Congrats MSU.

ETA: Sad that I have to do this...

I'm not saying Stricklin sucks. I didn't even know who he was until this rumor was run out there.

We are just lucky that he is a big MSU person.

Of course we have some fans that want to get rid of him...for what reason I have no idea.

He still could go to Florida. All depends on what his market value to the Gators is and how high they want to go on his contract.
