The question is does he want to face another rebuild at Florida.

If Florida wants to hire Rick Ray this bad, they could probably go directly to the source.

If he goes then Mullen to FL would be a lock down the road.

MSU should go after Eric Hyman. He would be perfect for them at this age and stage.

I'm glad he's gone from SCAR, and A&M fans were probably happy to see him go as well. But I think he would be a good fit for MSU.

If you're glad he's gone for SC, MSU certainly doesn't need him.

I'll be surprised if Loafers leaves if we counter offer with anything north of 900k. But I'm not sure we would.

Other than the Rick Ray hire, he's been really good at MSU.

Marketing is really good, facility improvement has been exceptional. You can only do so much at MSU. Three different sports have been #1 in the polls in the past two years - at Mississippi State. At Florida he would compete for the Directors Cup.

He's an alumni and married Bailey Howell's daughter, that dude is dug in as deep as it gets. Florida better bring the cash.

Dude, think about it. With him possibly getting his salary doubled or tripled, I bet Bailey Howell's daughter will help him pack. Not to mention, Florida is an AD's wet dream.

Bottom line, if he did turn down that reported salary and opportunity at Florida, I'd be in favor of getting rid of him because he is a dumb arse.

Magnolia State is poor and he wants to be involved in better athletic programs....North Texas and MSU probably have the same budget....NT just spends a little more on slimey hit men and the bonuses.

He will be expected to maintain UF's status as one of the top overall athletic programs, but his biggest contribution the next several years would be overseeing a major capital improvement plan. His work on facilities is probably the biggest reason he has been pursued.
