So Chavis holds Bama 14.2 & 16.1 under their averages and its his fault? C'mon. Its on the O. They scored a whopping 6.5 per game in those 2.

Since you know so much about LSU football......what was Chavis' excuse for 2013 Georgia, 2014 MSST, Auburn, and ND? Gus put 247 yards on Chavis in the first quarter. Regardless how shitty out true freshman QB played, 247 yards in the first quarter is embarrasing.

How about Georgia 2013? We put up 449 yards and 41 points while owning time of possession and Chavis puts an ill-prepared unit out there that cannot communicate.
You aggies all act like Chavis was the only reason LSU won any games the last few years and that the offense has always been as bad as it was last year.
It's symptomatic of the group think you all fall in to.
Sure, A&M upgraded their DC. Big time. Congrats.
LSU needed a change of pace, more ferocity, and a more clinical approach to defending the field, and we got that.

My point exactly.
The only reason Chavis was ever able to field defenses that looked so damn good was because he had the good fortune to coach a unit opposite one of the most ball-hogging, possession-managing offenses in college football.
He was regular only fielding his unit 20 to 25 minutes, even less when we played A&M.
Let's see how he does when he has to run his unit for 40 minutes a game.

I just can't figure out what you ags are trying to prove. No one's saying the guy isn't going to do a good job at A&M.
You guys are just pissed LSU fans aren't rioting and mourning because LSU didn't bend over 1.6 for a guy who didn't deserve it. also wayyyy butthurt we're optimistic about the developmental and recruiting upgrade, albeit a possible downgrade in playcalling.
