I'll admit, I'm surprised.

I am as well.

While he usually predicts the worst case scenario for our teams, he's usually not that off base. I honestly think he's closer at predicting our outcomes than he is with State because he gets too wooly with them.

(at least with our teams as of late because we have pretty much been as bad as possible)

I think they will beat yall by 30+ easy but I think we can hang with them for a while before they pull away and beat us 23-13, 28-14 kind of game. Yall's defense won't be able to stop them

So you honestly think Bama will score less points on you than Troy did? You people are fricking retarded.

It is equally crazy for OM fans to think they can achieve bowl eligibility based on what we have seen thusfar, compared to State fans thinking they can win 10.

No its not. We should be halfway there on Saturday, and the other wins are achievable aside from Bama, Georgia, and LSU (although I do think we'll play the later well).

How is that retarded?

2011-2012
LSU 19 < La tech 20

Bama 24
Tennessee Martin 17
Kentucky 16
Memphis 14

We lost 7 games in '09, nearly lost to UAB in '10, and took LA Tech to OT in 2011 and we've yet to have an actual close game with y'all since Mullen has coached. Yes, I know Hugh beings hope, but it's understandable why we're confident, and over confident in your eyes.

What above average sec team has Mullen beat at state? None so far. I'm not saying Freeze has had a quality win yet either, I just don't see how state fans can b over confident until Mullen starts getting quality sec wins under his belt.

He beat Ole Miss in 2009. We were a pretty decent team.

The reason he was so good at predicting them is that the worst case scenario happened. Winter has come and came hard for the Ole Miss program, and I hope it ends this year. Go look back at his posting in 2008/2009 and I bet every SEC game was a prediction of a loss for Ole Miss.

So you consider Ole Miss 2012 to be a quality team? If not then what are you arguing.

I'm not saying ole miss is a quality team by any means. Just giving a reason why I believe state fans are over confident in their coach up to this point. But as this season progresses mullen very well may prove me wrong amd likely will. Time will tell.

The only "quality teams" we generally face are LSU, Bama, and Arky pre-JLS. Not many other teams are beating them. We do have a winning record over the east, undefeated in games we were favored in, and are 3-0 vs. you. That's enough for me to be confident this year.

Turn that around - what below-average sec team has Mullen lost to at State?

None.

Hey! We got dominated by Texas and barely beat the University of Central Arkansas so logically that means we're going to beat all these teams that we haven't beaten in years because ZOmGz FREEZE!

Yeah, scoring 35 unanswered is barely beating someone.

They took their foot off the accelerator after being up at half.

They started playing conservatively because they had it in the bag, and it came back to bite them.

I see us winning Tulane. Either Auburn OR Arkansas.

So that leaves the Egg Bowl being our one win needed to go bowling. And say what the hell y'all want it a rivalry game and anything can happen.

I see the Ole Miss-Texas game much like I saw the A&M-Miami game in 2007.

One team has no depth and talent issues at key positions. The other is stacked with talent but can't seem to put it together on the offensive line and skill position areas.

Anyway, Miami won by 20 because of talent but ended up going 7-5. A&M farted along and had a good win against Texas but that was about it.

That's how I see Ole Miss this year. All shite talking aside, Ole Miss still isn't a very good team talent wise and depth on the d line is horrendous. That's just an observation. The Ole Miss defense strikes no fear into anyone.

Texas will end up losing anywhere from 3-5 games this year much like Miami did in 2007. You can pick them from these games.... OU, Okie Lite, WVU, Baylor, TCU, Kansas State. I guarantee 3, but it could be 5 if their shitty offensive line continues to be an abortion.

I don't typically take up for State fans, but they have a point. State could very well take down Texas because they have the ingredients to do so. Strong Defense. If you have a strong defense, Texas won't move the ball on you.
