Ohio State is in a bad position as they need Penn State to lose one of their last two or the Buckeyes can't win their division.

Ohio State is in great shape

They will have had 3 top 10 wins (teams ranked in top 10 during final rankings not just top 10 when they played). A top 15 or so win. Only loss on the road at night to a top 6-8 team.

They finish with a win over a top 3 team

They are in if they win out. And dont even have to play the extra game

B1G might get two jesus christ

Louisville deserves to be in. Their only loss was an away game against Clemson. I guess they put Ohio State and Michigan in cause they figure one will have to knock the other out next week.

Michigan would lose to the entire top 10. Penn state is even more overrated.

They are at 2-3 because they have the best resumes. They both have 3 top 15 wins, which no one else has in the country

And OSU is 2 now, PSU or Wisky will add a top 10 win if they play each other in the B1G Championship game. OSU will add a top 5 win in Michigan if they win out. How could you keep OSU out if those are really the only data points that "move the needle"

I loved the BCS system.
LSU and Bama were the best teams that year.
Normally the BCS had always set up for amazing bowl games with close scores.
Bowl games in the Playoff Committee era have been horrendous. Other then a few good games, most bowl games have been blow outs. Including a few playoff games and NY6 bowl games.

The BCS with the 4 team playoff system would be 1000x better

I thought they got rid of the BCS because LSU snuck in with two losses in '07 and because two SEC teams played in the NCG in '11? Combination of those two

Who else would you have there? I mean you have to fill it out with one-loss power five teams by logic.

Clemson should have lost to N.C. State. If their shitty kicker makes a 25 yd fg they do.
Plus a loss to Pitt, GTFO

they also beat Auburn on the road and Louisville.

Louisville barely edged out 2-8 UVA a couple weeks ago and lost to Clemson H2H

Ohio State lost Penn State and barely beat 5-5 Northwestern

Michigan lost to 6-4 Iowa at home

there are no teams with flawless records outside of Alabama. People bitching about the games last week and thinking those teams should be punished more this week are ridiculous, as if the teams below them have been beyond criticism in other weeks.

VOLS would be sitting around 7 or 8 if not for that fricking shitshow in Columbia. Probably top 4 if they don't turn the ball over 7 fricking times against A&M.

Yea this is stupid, I thought November was supposed to be crunch time? Apparently you can lose a game and not budge in your ranking

umm, Alabama dropped from 2 to 3 after a November loss in 2011 and from 1 to 4 after a November loss in 2012, and in neither case did 3 other top 4 teams lose the same weekend.

Agreed. Everybody bitching wants the committee to punish teams for losing late which is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

And then there's also the LSU fans that think they should be top 10 with three losses

Washington drops just two spots after being dominated by USC, Michigan stays in the top 4 after losing at unranked Iowa, and Clemson stays in the top 4 after giving up a gazillion yards to Pittsburgh at home

Who would you move ahead of them? All the other top 10 teams, aside from Louisville and Ohio State, have 2 losses. It doesn't much matter any way...if all 3 win out, they'll be conference champs and in line to make the CFP...if anyone of 'em drop another game, they'll be out...it'll work itself out in the next couple of weeks.

Don't see what all the fuss is about...with #2, #3, and #4 all getting their first loss, and the dearth of other undefeated and 1-loss Power 5 teams, there's no way they were gonna fall that far...

agreed. I'm trying to figure out what's so wrong with the top 6. No one else (except West Virginia and Boise) has fewer than 2 losses. It's like people aren't looking at the teams outside the top 6. They just assume because 3 teams lost they have to drop. I thought the whole point of the committee and what people wanted was for teams not to be punished based on when they lost but on their bodies of work. People are just wired now to expect teams to drop when they lose late that they get pissed when they don't
