Idk why you'd be scared about an overall record anyways. That hasn't seemed to matter to Arkansas. What should make folks nervous would be Herman's offensive mind with LSU's raw talent. it's no secret the LSU staff has squandered talent away in recent years.

Opposing fans of every fanbase would of course be "happier" were every other coach in the conference incompetent. Those same fans would also be "less happy" should any of the other coaches turn out to be incredibly competent.

Nobody is "scared" of any other teams though.

Under Miles, LSU has had seasons with 3 losses or more every year since 2011. That is what matters.

Number of LSU losses by year, excluding losses to Alabama:

2001: 3
2002: 4
2003: 1
2004: 3
2005: 2
2006: 2
2007: 2
2008: 4
2009: 3
2010: 2
2011: 0
2012: 2
2013: 2
2014: 4
2015: 2
2016: 1 (so far)

Looks pretty consistent to me. The four non-Bama-loss seasons are all spaced 6 years apart: 2002, 2008, 2014... one of which was under Saban's watch.

The 3 non-Bama-loss seasons occurred in 2001 (Saban), 2004 (Saban), and 2009 (Miles). Miles has actually just had one season in the last six years that resulted in more than 2 losses to teams not named Bama.

Average number of non-Bama losses by Nick Saban (2000-2004): 3.0 per year
Average number of non-Bama losses during Miles' Golden Era (2005-2011): 2.15 per year
Average number of non-Bama losses during Mile's "slide" (2012-2015): 2.5 per year

Prior to this year, even during this "slump" since 2012, LSU is only losing 0.35 more games per year to teams other than Bama than it did during the era in which all LSU fans were pleased (2005-2011). The so called slump is only resulting in one additional non-Bama loss every 3 seasons. That's hardly a slump.

Of course this doesn't take into account losses to Alabama. From 2000-2011, LSU was 9-4 against Alabama. Since 2012, LSU is 0-4 against Alabama.

LSU's problem is not Les Miles. LSU's problem is Nick Saban at Alabama. And that's not likely to be helped by hiring a new coach. It's going to take Alabama sliding.

Nope. Check your facts. One of your insecure Hog buddies called me out and said I don't pay attention to trends... and I proved him otherwise. So once again, you are reacting to something that has nothing to do with you.

Yes that was me but I wasn't talking about trends that had anything to do with Bert, you jumped on that. Wow you are special.

amazing UGA fired Richt with the 2nd best SEC record since 2012. I mean, do they expect Kirby to do any better?

Yes. Richt finished outside the Top 25 in four of his last 7 seasons. That is not good. And LSU under Les has not even come close to a true slump such as that.

good lord, fine. You should be less happy in the event herman is hired at LSU.

Glad we worked through that one

If they upset bama this year but go 8-4 miles is as safe as any coach in america.

So hilariously wrong.

Richt finished in the top 10 2 of his last 4 years

see how easy it is to cherry pick stats to suit a narrative ?

why does Saban have anything to do with how an Arkansas fan feels about LSU?

Richt also finished in the top 25 11 times in his 15 year career at UGA

yet he was fired in a 9-3 season

Mark Richt finished in the top 10 SEVEN times in his 15 year career at UGA.

Wow, deserved to be fired IMO in a 9-3 year IMO. What a terrible coach.

Because I don't believe anyone is getting through Saban except for a few exceptions.

outside of the 2 loss national title season, Miles and Richt have very comparable resumes. oddly enough, UGA fans think UGA was the best team in the country in that season

again, has nothing to do with your feelings regarding LSU and Arkansas. The point is that LSU would be better, have a greater shot at beating Arkansas, and therefore you would be less happy.
