Tennessee is still second in SEC title even after all these down years. You other schools need to get with it.

Is that when Tennessee decided to quit playing football or what?

Nah, that happened 2 years later. You know, after beating some less important program in their stadium, and finishing the season 5-7.

It's funny though, even though we quit football, we've never lost 8 games in a season.

I was reading a really good book about Bear Bryant called "The Last Coach" which was written in the early 2000's, and it mentions LSU as one of Bama's main rivals on a bunch of different occasions

Coach Bryant fricking hated Tennessee with a passion.

I don't know enough about him to know why he would consider LSU one of Bama's "main" rivals. But he made sure there was no doubt in the minds of Bama fans, he HATED the fricking Vols.

Define bigger? If you mean as a rivalry then No we Can't because it is not true. UT is and always will be a bigger rival to Bama. Bama with the help of UT built this conference.

Is it a bigger game this year, sure it is based on the fact it is a divisional game that will more than likely determine who wins the west. Plus, both teams have been really good lately, albeit Bama has been much better winning 6 of the past 8 games and has a 3-1 advantage of BCSNC wins since 07 when Saban arrived in TTown. And let's be truthful, that is when the series turned into a rivalry mostly due to Lsu fans hatred of Saban.

Downplay the Bama vs UT rivalry all you want.

Honestly, I've seen more TSIO threads started by LSU fans than by Bama or Tennessee fans.

When he got to Alabama, he got LSU put on their permanent schedule.

This reminds me of Penn State. As much as they try, they'll never be Ann Arbor.

I'm curious what an Alabama graduate does for a living that lives in Murfreesboro TN?

The difference is that I actually like LSU. I like your guys traditions, your style of play, the golden girls, loved the 2 nights I spent in Baton Rouge.

I hate tennessee. I don't have an ounce of respect for them.

Think about it this way, if Tulane had stayed in the SEC, we would care about them way more than anyone else, even though the Bama and UF games huge almost every year and Tulane would be the Vandy of the SEC West. We would hate them more out of history.
