For me at least it is the truth. I refuse to root for Auburn or Tennessee in anything. Those are the two rivals that I, and most Bama fans I know, dislike the most no matter how good either team is.

If LSU goes 2-10 for the next ten years, nobody at Alabama will be talking about them when it comes time to play them. 2-10 Auburn or 2-10 Tennessee is still a big rivalry game to us every year, no matter the stakes and no matter the records.

it mentions LSU as one of Bama's main rivals on a bunch of different occasions

It's funny, when Bryant was at Kentucky, he got LSU put on KY's schedule permanently. The short time he was at A&M, he got LSU on their schedule. When he got to Alabama, he got LSU put on their permanent schedule.

And LSU was winning championships prior to 2003 asshat. We had a rough stretch from 91-98. How long has your team been in the shitter? Since we whipped that arse in the 2001 SEC championship game?

Yep, just like Vandy. It was like pulling eye-teeth to get Bama to give up that rivalry - I believe one year they even had to have the game declared OOC because Alabama wanted to play Vandy so bad.

I bet Alabama would like to see AU and UT each go 2-10 for ten years.

Cowards.

Yeah. They're are rivals, so frick them. But we always play a legit ooc team to open the year, so cowards isn't the right word. Want LSU afraid and angry about paying the NC game rematch? Would that be considered cowardly.

Because they've been rivals since when my grandfather was my age.

Fulmer instilled a forever long hatred of UT for Bama fans. Or at least for another few generations.

What are you, 12?

Kent?
San Jose State?
Western Carolina?
Hawaii?
Middle Tennessee State, twice?
Utah State?
South Florida?

Should I post some from before 2000?

There is a much easier way to settle this:
Bama, the fates say between Tenn. and LSU, you will lose one of those games.

If you had to choose, who would it be?

Okay, we always played legit ooc, when we had a coach that isn't a pussy. Since Saban's started doing it, the fans love it.

And Hawaii we played after the iron bowl, always on the road, while on probation. Not a bad consolation if you aren't allowed to go bowling.

Technically, You have to be cheating your arse off too. And then snitch as part of a plea deal. That would stoke a fire.

Ouch. That's a damn good one. I'd rather lose to UT, because I don't want LSU having a tie breaker over us. If UT pulled off a win, we'd (hopefully)get revenge in the SECCG.

If there were no divisions, I'd rather lose to LSU.

Currently, 4 of the most recent 6 threads are LSU fans asking questions about Bama. This is a one sided rivalry.

This is how I see it. LSU fans want to replace Tennessee so bad they can't stand it.

It is a LOT more fun playing big OOC games. It also makes each season more memorable in a way. I miss having 5 OOC games where you could schedule 2 powerhouses.

FSU, Washington in '83
USC, Notre Dame in '84
Notre Dame, A&M in '86
Ohio State, A&M in '88 & '88
A&M, FSU in '89

Oh yeah, then there was the annual footbrawl game with Tulane.

Good times...

Since when do the amount of threads on a message board decide which rivalry is better. I thought it was decided on the field by the players.

Is that when Tennessee decided to quit playing football or what?

frick yes it's bigger. I say drop Tennessee. By playing that's broke arse. Broke down has been a we give them a small bit of relevance.
