Can we finally admit that Bama/LSU is bigger than Bama/UT?

Just looking at the first 5 pages and Bama fans have started as many threads about LSU than they have about Tennessee

It's a solid #3. If this site had a majority Tennessee fans we'd be making more Tennessee threads.

Bama-LSU is a "rivalry" of circumstance. Bama-UT is a true rivalry.

So, no.

This season? Yeah, of course.

Historically? Not even close

I know this is hard for some of you to understand, but football was played prior to 2003.

And I know this is hard for you to imagine but LSU was a really good program for about 60 years prior to the Archer-Hallman-Dinardo years.

I was reading a really good book about Bear Bryant called "The Last Coach" which was written in the early 2000's, and it mentions LSU as one of Bama's main rivals on a bunch of different occasions

If Tennessee isn't able to get back to a contender every year in the East, I could definitely see LSU and Alabama being a bigger deal to Alabama fans down the road. All rivalries started somewhere. Tennessee and Alabama started because they were the two biggest historical powers in the SEC for years, and they played every year. DOn't get me wrong, it would take a couple more decades of this series being as competitive as it's been, but I wouldn't say it could never happen.

Currently, 4 of the most recent 6 threads are LSU fans asking questions about Bama. This is a one sided rivalry.

Historically Bama/UT has been bigger.

But int he Miles/Saban era the Alabama vs. LSU game has been the most meaningful game in the SEC ever year on average.

Much how Florida vs. Tennessee was the biggest game in the 90's.

we have WKU then a bye.

Bama has their alleged big rivalry game this week yet your fans are talking about LSU at least as much as you are UT.

people who say this are either trolling or don't have much of a sense of SEC football history. And if you want to go down that route, college football has been played since 2003 too. ANd if we're being honest, Tennessee football was complete garbage for most of the 70s and from 1958-1966, as well as the past 10 years. All programs have a down cycle. LSU had theirs in the 90s. Just so happens, more people who post on message board were alive in the 90s, so that's what they saw themselves.

Honestly, I've seen more TSIO threads started by LSU fans than by Bama or Tennessee fans.

You see, we don't even have to talk about this rivalry, it's so big that other teams talk about it for us.

Thanks for your interest, btw
