Actually you are 100 % correct. Etling is the safe choice, he has a 1 year free pass saying he did not have a QB

If he starts anyone else he gets second guessed. There is now way anyone other than Etling starts unless he is injured. Take it to the bank

Average at best arm
Weak arm, accurate on short passes, not much zip
Above average mind and does not turn the ball over
Athletic enough to avoid a good pass rush, against a very good pass rush he folds like most college QB's
Not good enough to lead LSU to a national title but could be at the helm to direct the team without mistakes, possibly could beat BAMA but doubtful.

Not trying to be negative in any way but Etling would need to have a above average offensive line to win a national title and a few breaks along the way.
