Can we discuss Etling?

LSU fans, do you think this guy has the talent to lead y'all to a national championship? Why didn't y'all go hard after a transfer or juco talent?

Etling just isn't talented at all. We have two true freshmen who are, but they're true freshmen.

He's disappointing. Hopefully Canada can improve his consistency over the summer. LSU might be looking towards the future for a freshman to develop into the guy they want. The bad thing is that etling was an improvement over Harris

Raw, i like it! I'd be extremely upset going into the season with a great defense and that at the helm of our offense. If fournette couldn't lead y'all to the ship, no way guice will..

He doesn't do well against elite defenses. He's anywhere from average to pretty good against mediocre and bad defenses.
Luckily, not many of our opponents have those elite defenses.

I was not sure how much was problems he was having or how good the defense was doing but I did not see any improvement in his ability to find a receiver and get it down field in the 10- 20 yd range.

I'm not sold on his improvement. Still looks like the same guy who struggled often last year. Hoping someone else steps up.

Idk who else would step up. McMillan isn't the guy. The two EE freshmen are going to redshirt. So it would have to be Lindsey Scott. Seems unlikely.

Hard to judge how the other QB's would have done with the first unit. The second Oline got killed today. A lot of work to do before BYU.
