Danny is average to above average when given the time to pass. Too bad that doesn't come too often. The DLine in the spring game ate up the offensive line and our so called "best offensive line in the SEC" last year was garbage.
He could lead us to an SEC championship and a National Championship though. The Offensive line would need a big improvement and the play calling too.
But saying he has no talent and is pure garbage is a bull shite lie. He came in with a tight end coach as our offensive coordinator and passed for 2123 yards, 11 touchdowns to 5 interceptions with a 59.5 completion percentage. He also had 41 rushing attempts and often got slammed for not sliding or going out of bounds. But 41 rushing attempts as a pocket passer in 10 starts shows us how shitty our OLine was.
Most of the time he was pressured or we ran a dumb arse slant route where no recievers could get open in time.

Sounds like he didn't look good.
Our defense didnt give him much to work with

I tried to watch it at about 8:30 or so, but it was already over. How long did it last?
If I recall, ended around 7:50 from lightning and continued somewhere between 8:00-8:30 in the indoor facility. No camera crew or fans though

Wonder how the guy that beat him out at Purdue could do at LSU

I wonder if he could have beaten Florida state

Lsu's problem is they SHOULD start a true freshman and work for the future, but yaw yaws leash is so short, he won't risk the losses. He's going to play defense and run the ball to 9 or 10 wins. Have fun sitting through the slug fest lsu fans.

No doubt in my mind. Who couldn't?

8-4 imo.
Yalls road schedule is gonna be tough, especially over the second half of the season.

No way of telling. We do know he couldn't beat Auburn though.

LSU fans, do you think this guy has the talent to lead y'all to a national championship?
No.

Why didn't y'all go hard after a transfer or juco talent?
Sometimes I wonder why we didn't try to pull Max Browne to LSU. The guy transferred to Pitt a day after Canada announced he was leaving for LSU. Browne was a former US Army All American and is probably more talented than McMillan or Scott.
Ah well. We did land two very promising freshmen in Narcisse and Brennan. We need to develop them properly. Hopefully, Canada can do that, and that's what we are expecting from him.

Etling isn't "above average" at anything regarding the quarterback position. If he was on any other team in the SEC you'd talk about how bad he is and how you aren't worried at all about facing his team. Anything otherwise is pure delusion. He's entering his 5th year as a college QB. You know what you are getting at this point.

I agree with this.

i hope you are joking. If your QB cant throw then they will stack the box and your RB wont get more than 37 yards. Same thing with Bama last year in the final few games. They stacked the box on us daring Hurts to throw and he was below average at best. Good luck if you really believe you will win a nattie with a below average QB

I'm expecting at a minimum average qb play from him. Anything greater than that and I'll declare Canada a genius.

Did hurts play in last year's spring game?
I wouldn't know because I don't jerk off over other teams spring games
Nobody knows who will start at qb.

He's got a blank slate, but I don't think LSU is in the mood to settle for mediocrity anymore. He's got to do better than Miles did, or else what was the point? I'd say he's got about 3 years to win something -- the SEC West, at the very least. After that, the pressure will be on to send him the way of Curley Hallman.

I am thinking 4 min. Which is enough time to get the qb position fixed.
A short leash is 2 years IMO.

Fair enough. I agree that O will have the opportunity to improve the QB situation, and he's got three freshman on the roster. He needs to develop those guys. No excuses.
