Chubb hasn't had a real test of the re-built hand yet. I wouldn't put too much faith in his hands. He could take a season ending injury when we go for the ball.

They've been mediocre with Gurley. They're probably going to really suck without him.

Yes, UGA can still win the SECE. You see, the SECE is the consolation bracket of SEC football this year.

I agree. Gurley pretty much single handedly beat UT besides the fumble in the endzone. When Gurley was resting on the sideline, their offense wasn't much.

It's a message board sport. I know you're touchy tonight, but opinion is kind of the point.

Gurley's suspension is really just going to give Georgia a built in excuse for underachieving again. In reality, they would have likely underachieved even with him. They have already lost to a mediocre South Carolina with him playing

I searched for an update on his hand and didn't check the date of the story. I assumed he had had another surgery.

Still, he is largely untested against a grabby team like the Tigers. He could suffer a serious re-injury to the hand. I don't think it is worth risking him in a game they have no chance of winning.

Well let's see, I live here, I went there, and you're a rival. So yeah, makes sense I'd chime in on UGA discussions.

I'm sure you guys can avoid the dreaded opinions of outsiders on your board.

Chubb is a very good back averaging over 8 yards a carry. Does he have the ability to carry the ball effectively 25 times a game? Probably but its still unknown. He is a very big back with great burst...the picture below is scary enough. This was before a full offseason in UGA's weight lifting program. I think hidden in this is that Malcolm Mitchell is due back and from all reports at full speed. Justin Scott-Wesley is also back. I think UGA will use these playmakers as well as "the human joystick" Isaiah McKenzie in multiple formations and looks to get by until Michel and Gurley return. I see a 2 game suspension at most.
