I gave it up last week. I woke up with a hangover Thursday morning and said enough is enough. I'm done. I'm not quitting, I quit. Actually, I don't miss it. I feel better, I'm saving money and life is good sober....

In my younger days "Opening Day" was like a holiday. I couldn't hardly sleep. Deer camp was an old school bus in the piney woods of south Mississippi with my grandfather and cousins. That morning the tailgate would drop and the hounds were in hot pursuit....

I worked with a lady from Lafayette back in the mid 90's and her grandfather had to go in a nursing home so she took his dog. 12 ga 3" mag Federal Sabot slug rifled 50 Cal 300 grain. Deadly at 100 yds. 0 buckshot for close range. But what do I know, I've been killing them for 50 years. Most shots in the woods are less than 50 yds....
