Not at all. Cam is miles ahead of where Young was at this point as a passer in terms of mechanics

I'll take the guy with brains and character all day, every day.

My brother has a PHD, goes to church every Sunday, and has never been in any trouble at any level. I still wouldn't want him to throw the football for me.

Take a screen pic of this and keep it:

Cam will never lead a team to a Lombardi trophy.

I would say he'd never make the Pro Bowl, but fans vote and the most deserving don't always make it.

Nope. They are both come from offenses that are not utilized in the NFL.

I think the NFL draft will tell us all we need to know about this thread. NFL teams don't give a shite about much of anything except getting the best player that will get them wins.

I never said anything about that. It's just that the comparison to Young is completely false besides their mobility

Greg, in his first year, won just as many games as cam did.

College and the NFL are two totally different levels. McElroy may stick around as a third teamer for a year or two. I also think folks over estimate Newtons passing abilities.

Ahh that explains why Joe Flacco was a first rounder and Colt McCoy was a third rounder.

Only a few teams like the Bengals, Cardinals, Panthers, etc who have ownership that only cares about the bottom line and profit margins look at it like this. Most NFL teams actually do give a shite about winning and will draft whoever they think has the best chance of turning into a quality player.

I am amazed McElroy was even invited to the combine. Bama won their title in '09 despite him not because of him. God bless him, he is intelligent, but I don't think his future is in cleats.

I'd take Greg as a backup QB. You know he'll study the playbook and be ready to go. He isn't good enough to be a starter but at least you'll have a backup that is useful with headset, plays, studying film, etc.

I don't think I'd want Cam. Living in Houston, we've watched the hometown VY care more about being an icon than a football player. It is great that you're talented but you're dumb, you don't work hard, and you're a cancer in the locker room.

If you made me pick one to lead my team, then I'd go with Cam because his overall talent gives me a punchers chance to win games. If you're looking for a guy that I'd rather have on my roster it is McElroy although I'd be hoping he never takes a meaningful snap.

Who ever can take 5 consecutive hits from James Harrison and not be hurt while standing in the statue of liberty pose.
