Does that take into account garbage time points scored in the second half?
How many games did Auburn play in '10 where garbage time points occurred? Most of your games were shootouts decided by a touchdown or less.

Cam reminded me of Patrick Peterson at the quarterback position. He just stood out on a field that was FULL of athletes.

A dropped pass in both the Mississippi State and Clemson games kept ya'll from defeat. Another dropped pass in the South Carolina game kept it from going to overtime. You had to mount a last minute drive to beat Kentucky by a field goal. The Arkansas game was hardly a blowout as the score indicates as the Razorbacks had a 43-37 lead in the 4th quarter before two questionable turnovers turned the game on its head. That 65-43 score is therefore very misleading. Despite rushing for over 400 yards in the game against LSU, the score was a 17-17 tie until late in the 4th quarter. You also have the Iron Bowl, a 28-27 come from behind victory, as well as the national championship game (22-19).
I count 8 games out of 14 where the game was intense going into the 4th quarter - 9 if we count Georgia (35-31 Auburn lead heading into the 4th quarter).

That's the main thing I thought was great about their season. They just refused to lose. That team knew how to keep their composure!

Cam had a full year of JUCO. What 3000 yds.
JFF played Fla first game ever. Barely lost.
JFF performance considering he had no experience is so much more impressive, MNC or not - everybody on this board knows it - yall just hate it.
Doesn't matter what happens next year. This was the single best year for a QB in the history of the SEC. Broke every record.
Cam had a year in college game.
That is the deal. You know it and I know it.
Bring it on.

It seems like you're the only one with a problem in a Cam vs. Manziel argument. Both great players, but one has a NC and one doesn't. We'll see if Johnny can get one in his time at A&M.

How is this a question? I won't even read the thread but can all but guarantee that A&M fans are actually debating they were better.
Auburn won the SEC, and the ship, UNDEFEATED. Nuff said.

So what? Cam was better, experienced or not. DWI.

LOL did you really just brush off the accomplishment of actually winning a national title?
I loved watching JFF play but people like you will make it funny if he falls apart.

Man, you act as if TAMU and JFF are the best thing this conference has ever seen. Players I have watched live from the SEC that were better than JFF is at this point regardless of the Heisman or not...Cam Newton, Tim Tebow, Herschel Walker, Bo Jackson, Tres Mannings (Archie, Peyton, Eli), Mark Ingram, Honey Badger, and the list goes on and on.
Texas A&M had a nice run last year. The offense was exciting. Without JFF, that offense would be very average. The defense is hardly championship caliber. I have a bad feeling for TAMU that this is the wake-up year.

I'm around tons of A&M fans. On multiple occasions I have been told JFF is "probably one of the greatest college football players ever". Then when i question that statement I'm called "jealous". Its incredible really.

The first 30 Minutes of the Iron Bowl was pure garbage time.

Well lets see.
- a fricking mastodon that can run almost a flat 4.4
- first round draft pick that had, FWIW, a damn incredible rookie season with a lot of rushing yards and I think 4000 passing yards
- Heisman winner that also had one of the best college seasons ever.
- led a shitty Auburn team to an undefeated record and brought back a 24-0 blowout into a 28-27 WIN. Against one of the most talented Bama teams in the history of football.
