No mention Derrick Thomas. Potential GOAT pass rusher.

Jk with that potential, he is GOAT of all time.

Barkley was not looked at as the 2nd best player of his time. Not even close. Hakeem was much better, as were a few others. Malone was better. Over half Barkley's career overlapped Bird and Magic. There's Isaiah Thomas and many others.

Georgia and Florida have some impressive names but they're not as expansive across sports as Auburn

Shaq/Pistol Pete/Ben Simmons
Odell Beckham/Patrick Peterson/Tyrann Mathieu/Fournette
Ben McDonald/Aaron Nola/Alex Lange
Simone Augustes/Sylvia Fowles
A number of Olympic track athletes

LSU athletics is pretty salty

The thing about auburn is there has been just a handful of really great players in each sport. Really top heavy, now don't get me wrong those top players might be the best collection of top players, but there just hasn't been all that many pros come out of auburn and do well compared to schools like LSU and UF

Want a cookie or is looking stupid the schtick?

The definition of rustled jimmies, thread backfiring, moral victory in all the small places...

I'll say this about Barkley. He led the Dream Team in scoring over Jordan, field goal percentage over the best bigs of all -time, and 3 point percentage over Bird. Not bad.

He may not have been. He played amongst the trees even though MJ was taller than he was. Many, and I mean many, thought he had the best Olympics of any Dream Teamer.

LSU has produced 3 players who won the NFL MVP: Y.A. Tittle, Jim Taylor and Bert Jones. 2 NBA MVPs: Bob Pettit and Shaquille O'Neal.

I think that compares favorably to the MVPs won by Frank Thomas and Charles Barkley.

Bo was a classy player. Cam and Barkley could have used a talk on sportsmanship.

Your thread headline says:

"Cam, Bo, Barkley: What SEC School has Better tGOAT Athletes Than Auburn?"

Let's think about that for a second. Great athletes. Cam, Bo, and Bread Truck.

One of these really doesn't belong in the "great athlete" pantheon, no matter how entertaining and likable he is.
